Lancer Tactical Gen 3 Hellion M-LOK 10" Airsoft M4 AEG with Delta Stock (Black)
[68825 / LT-32BV10S-G3]New to airsoft? Here are some safety tips for airsoft guns that we recommend following.
Description:
Lancer Tactical has innovated yet again with their Gen3 line of electric airsoft rifles! Where the Gen2 brought high performance to the masses at low cost, the Gen3 brings that same line into the modern airsoft era, replete with features that will make even the most high end guns feel lacking.
The Gen3 series is an improvement over the gen2 in almost every way, taking the airsoft guns we all know and love, and then adding even more features to improve performance to every critical area. Then add in a few changes to the included accessories to give them even more of an amazing value.
The gearbox has been upgraded with a programmable ETU, or electronic trigger unit, to give unparalleled trigger response, and allow you to set your fire control through a few different options. Configuration is easy, and instructions are included in the box. A metal tooth piston and 18:1 gears serve as the beating heart of this gearbox, spun by a 19k Motor. The spring guide is quick change, allowing you to swap between the M120 installed from the factory, or the low power spring included with each Gen3. Each airsoft gun is wired to a deans plug as well for maximum power transmission to the motor, and higher reliability.
The Gen3 still includes the high quality polymer bodies you are used to, in several different styles. This model includes a short MLOK handguard for compact assaulter gameplay! Included in the box is Lancer’s High Speed midcap magazine, perfect for any play style. A rotary hop up (with tight bore barrel), new redesigned grip, and improved stock round out the externals. These improvements will provide you with a more comfortable shooting experience overall.

This Lancer Tactical M4 is pretty nice. It is the perfect platform to kit out. I dropped a suppressor, PEQ, Grip, and a red dot magnifier combo. With all this strapped on it, it still has perfect balance and makes it super versatile. It shoots really accurately and I'm definitely able to hold my own at medium to long range. Very snappy trigger response, and the rate of fire is steady enough to keep people's heads down. I'm very pleased and can't wait to see what long term performance looks like.

Cons:
A solid start. Glad I went with it as my first aeg.
Impressed by the quality for the money.
Ran multiple matches with it without issue and was impressed with the fire rate in semi auto being able to run as fast as I could pull the trigger. Trigger response was good once you pull the trigger to the actuation point.
There is no "wall/reset" before/after the gun fires. Its just loose spring tension during the pretravel until it actuates the motor at the end of the pull (Pretravel did not appear to be adjustable). I don't have experience with other airsoft guns of this or higher class but even a mouse click type actuation and release at the end of the pull would give tactile feedback, and probably even a "wall" feel. During gameplay it was fine but this is one of the biggest rooms for improvement as its the part you interact with most during game play and i'm just being picky.
2 shot through 5 shot bursts would get out run as it would not count pulling the trigger again until the burst was complete. (If you don't have a fast trigger finger those options would be better probably). Binary could also be outrun if you feather the trigger right at the actuation point, could also just be that i need to practice with it.
Safety lever was fine. It would be nice if it locked in to semi a little tighter, but it was fine. I didn't have any issues with it preventing fire when it shouldn't have or doing any binary when it shouldn't have.
I don't recommend the included vertical foregrip be used with this aeg as the rail is plastic and with the vertical grip it had too much leverage and was causing visible bending of the rail with pressure applied. If its for light use then sure but if you run and gun probably not. I went with a Magpul AFG (the slim one) and it did great.
The Delta stock doesn't leave much room for battery. Its basically just whatever will fit in the buffer tube. I went with a 11.1v Titan 3000mah Stick battery but you can only collapse the stock down one notch with it. I'm getting the 7.4v version to try as its about 1/3rd less the size.
Sling options were good and held well, the sling plate above the rear grip however only has clash hook options, no QD which is a downside imo. Also just to note, the QD slots are 360 rotatable and not keyed.
With the low power spring I measured at around 335 fps with .20 bbs.
Not sure if this is on the gun but just to mention it, The Lancer 70 round short midcap mags would only feed if pressure was applied to the bottom of the mag. I got 2 and both had this issue. Other cheap high-cap AEG mags my friends had included with their guns from big box stores also had to have pressure applied to them to feed. The Lancer 130 round mid cap mags all worked perfectly as well as the included mag.
Overall I think this aeg performed extremely well for its price and is tough to beat.
