Safety Tips For Airsoft Guns

Airsoft guns should be handled safely and with care to avoid injury to yourself and others. So please take a moment to read through these airsoft gun safety tips.

Only use your airsoft guns where it is safe and permitted to do so

Airsoft guns can be easily mistaken for their real counterparts so never use them in public places where you are not expressly permitted to. Doing so can place you in a heap of trouble and can result in a dangerous situation.

Even if you are on private property it is best to use your airsoft guns out of view from the public. This will reduce the possibility of any accidents.

Always point your airsoft gun in a safe direction

Airsoft guns fire BBs at high velocities and can result in serious injuries if not handled carefully. When handling an airsoft gun the best practice is to point the barrel at things you intend to shoot and never aim it at things you don’t intend to shoot.

This includes looking down the barrel of your airsoft gun.

Always treat airsoft guns as if they’re loaded

There is always the possibility that your airsoft gun is loaded. You could’ve forgotten, another person could have loaded it without your knowledge, and you could have not fully unloaded the airsoft gun.

This is why it is important to always operate under the assumption that any airsoft guns you are handling are loaded. Doing so will help prevent any accidents or injuries.

Always wear eye protection when using airsoft guns

Airsoft guns shoot BBs which can easily bounce off hard surfaces. As a result an airsoft BB can easily ricochet and cause serious harm to a sensitive part of your body like the eyes. Which is why we always recommend using eye protection when using an airsoft gun or when in the vicinity of people using airsoft guns.

Always maintain your airsoft gun and don’t reuse BBs

Properly maintaining your airsoft guns will help prevent accidents that result from wear and tear. Regular maintenance will not only extend the life of your favorite airsoft guns but also help you avoid any accidents.

Remember that when it comes to maintenance reusing airsoft BBs is probably the worst thing you can do. They can jam your barrel, scratch the inner barrel, and cause additional damage because of dust and sand. So resist the temptation and just make sure you stock up on them before using your favorite airsoft guns.
