KWA QRF MOD1 AEG Airsoft Rifle (Black)[40552 / 104-01501 / KWA-104-01501]
If you have been in the market looking to choose between a SMG or pistol caliber carbine, then you are in luck! KWA has produced the QRF MOD1 AEG for enthusiasts who desire a hybrid airsoft gun. The receiver resembles a PDW rifle design with a pistol caliber magwell. On the front, a KWA's new M-LOK hand guard is featured with a newly developed anodized flash hider. The ambidextrous fire selector, mag release, and sling adapter make this an ideal choice for left and right hand users.
The QRF MOD1 is renowned for its patented lever-style magazine release. The contour of the magazine that this airsoft gun accepts is different from what you would find compatible for the MOD2. At the rear, the PDW butt stock has its cheek weld removed and has a MOD1 style structure.
The airsoft gun comes with KWA's patented AEG 2.5 gearbox that utilizes their Variable Performance System. The VPS allows you to set up a desired FPS without getting into the mechbox. Additionally, there is a quick change spring system for switching up the FPS range fit for your mission. Within the gearbox, there is a new high-torque motor and high-speed gear set for reliable performance. The gearbox also has switch life extender and space for drop-in ready MOSFETs such as the GATE Titan.
Overall, it's no surprise that KWA has brought these unique and groundbreaking models to continue to grow the airsoft industry and community.
The QRF Series was a bold move from KWA that is a hit! Especially the KWA QRF MOD1. The QRF MOD 1 give you the styling of a very popular SMG with the functionality of an M4. The 2.5+ gearbox allows you to take this beast indoors or outdoors to meet your fields FPS limits.

really great gun has a decent weight to it and it looks so good! the gun shoots really well to!
Perfect CQB gun stock.
Bought it the day it made it to Gi Tactical Texas and it has been the best purchase in airsoft I have ever made. Played with it 2 weekends stock. Performed amazing, but I wanted to see how far I could push it. So I upgraded it with a gate titan, speed trigger, Prometheus tight bore barrel and Prometheus purple bucking, flat hopped. That's it, stock gears and motor keep up great.
Only recommendation I'd make is if you play at an outdoor field, invest in a flat hopped barrel/bucking setup. Other than that this thing is perfect out of the box.
Internals - Incredible internals (gears, motor, trigger, etc.) out of the box. GATE TITAN ready.
Battery - Decent battery space for a PDW like rifle.
Iron sights - High quality iron sights.
Orange tip - isn't annoying to look at.
Mags- Magazines are highly affordable and being 9mm style, light and you can fit them in spare pistol pouches you won't be needing to use since you have this beast
FPS - Shoots an average of 345-348 without adjusting the fps. So CQB field/PBR ready without needing to buy a spring
Mags - Only big complaint I have, proprietary magazines, but if you know KWA, you know their obsession with proprietary things. Secondly, 80 round magazines. Not really a con to me but for my more trigger happy people it might be
Battery space- While decent, you're still not going to be able to fit most batteries reliably.
Thats it that I have personally noticed throughout the time
I love this little smg. great weight and feel and its llike the closest thing to an mpx thats out right now. feels like someone smashed an mp5 on an m4 and I couldnt be happier.
