Bottom line: solid externals, surprisingly nice internals, good base for custom builds. Not recommended for the inexperienced, expect to have quirks from the factory that will need to be corrected.
Bought two of these to turn into Zenitco'd 104s. Aside from the pistol grip, extremely solid construction. Internally, it has a good torque motor (half step below an SHS high torque), o-ring nozzle, one piece cylinder and cylinder head with a "silent" piston head, steel 18:1 gears. It was poorly shimmed but still sounded ok out of the box. Like most E&Ls, there is extremely limited battery space in the top cover and it is a struggle to find 11.1v lipos to fit. This particular model can be rear wired with some modification.
The flash hider thread is 24mm/Bulgarian style, so your options are mostly limited to real muzzle devices. There is a LOT of glue, so it needs to be heated with a torch to loosen it up (luckily everything at the muzzle end is steel).
Between the two guns I purchased, there was a bent bolt (it bowed outward), a defective spur gear that had an inconsistent gap between the two levels of teeth, and a barrel installed upside down in the hop up, meaning there was effectively no hop out of the box and the fps was lower than the testing sheet indicated (who knows if those are legit). In the process of installing the barrel upside down, the barrel clip was cracked and needed to be replaced. These are not huge issues if you have the spare parts on hand and are already planning to tear the guns down out of the box. However, the average player should not have to address these king of issues straight from the factory and the amount of issues found across a sample size of just two guns is pretty concerning.
