The HSS Knee Pads are some of the most comfortable and durable knee pads available. There are four straps total to secure the knee pad to the wearer, two above the knee and two below. The knee surface is made of hard plastic to protect the wearer from feeling any BBs or other objects they might kneel down on. Behind the plastic is a thick layer of padding to absorb the impact of kneeling down quickly. All of the straps are held together with Velcro so you know they won't come off during use.

First of, my only beef with these: The fabric on them is not a true tan color. The plastic shell is tan, but the fabric is a shade of green; halfway between tan and olive drab. It does not stand out, and it does not look out of character for milsim, so it is no real issue.
That being said, these are amazing. They are well constructed; all seams are solid, and the velcro is of a high quality. Inside of the pads is about a half inch of high density foam. I tested these by jumping in the air and landing on my knees; the pads absorbed almost all of the impact, there was no pain on my knees at all. These fit securely with two small velcro straps that hold the pads in place while you are putting them on. Then, there are two more straps that you wrap around and cinch tight. That's a total of 4 straps per pad. These arent going anywhere. Also, there is a small layer of padding under the straps to prevent them from digging into your legs badly.
All in all, these aren't cheap, but do you want to loose your knees becuase of a hobby? Didnt think so. Buy these!
