The Condor Outdoor Base II Zip Pullover is a great lightweight, but very warm, sweater to wear under the Condor Outdoor Softshell Jacket. The Base II features a half length zipper for style and some ventilation. The sleeves features thumb holes so the wearer can keep their wrists warm and keep covered up in case they put gloves on. Since this is meant to be worn under something there are no pockets, stay warm with the Condor Outdoor Base Layer and Softshell Jacket!

This is an excellent copy of the US Military-issued ECWCS layer. It is soft, comfortable, and effective, nearly as much so as the issued original. Condor did a very good job copying it. Unfortunately, the hard webbing patch at the base of the zipper has a tendency to 'bite' into the chest when worn. Cutting the sharp corners off with a pair of scissors will help tremendously - the original mitigates this problem with softer material. Do not wear this during the summer or in warmer weather. Unlike the silk base layer of the ECWCS system, this is designed to be worn during colder (i.e. around 30 degrees Fahrenheit) temperatures when very active.
Pros:
Effective
Comfortable
Holes for thumbs mean that the palm is protected and gloves no longer leave a gap around the wrist
Cons:
Irritating webbing patch
if these are like the FROG tops that i was issued when i went to afghanistan then they are very warm and comfortable and very lightweight. the grid on the inside helps with heat retention just like the thermal shirts you wear when you go to the snow. this shirt is great as a warming layer or even as a single outer layer.
Pros:
lightweight
warm
comfortable
Cons:
does not bead sweat off very well
