Precision barrels are best described as an inner barrel with a diameter of 6.04mm or less. Precision inner barrels allow for better compression, improved accuracy, and in a few cases increase muzzle velocity. Although precision barrels often require more maintenance and cleaning, they can give an AEG a greater range and improve the overall performance of an airsoft AEG.

This was my first time switching a barrel in an AEG, and I couldn't find instructions on how to actually disassemble the inner barrel itself. I figured I'd give a quick rundown on how to pull out the inner barrel on the G36 variants. Then you can follow the ASGI video on swapping a barrel out.
*Pull off the foregrip, and pull the pin out that holds the magazine well in place as well.
*Pivot the magazine well down and it will pull right off.
*Undo the 3 larger screws holding the barrel assembly in place.
Make sure the hop-up bucking is exactly on top when you re-install, you may need to use a small screwdriver and turn the barrel slightly once it's back inside the outer barrel.
*The only thing holding it in place now is friction and a cable connector.
*Pull the barrel assembly out until you can see the cable connector, and unhook it.
*Once you pull it out, to pull the inner barrel out is fairly simple.
*Push in and twist counter-clockwise on the hop up side of the barrel, it is spring loaded.
*Now it should pop right out, and you will have your inner barrel and hop-up unit exposed.

Pros:
Increased the accuracy and usable range a great deal. It's definitely an improvement over the stock barrel on my JG g36k.
The consistency is much better, both in accuracy and the hop-up distance. The only further improvement would be to upgrade the hop-up itself, but as it is the gun can hit a dinner plate out to 75-80 yards.
