Modern style AK for your next journey
The future of the AK airsoft series is here with the Arcturus AK12 AEG Airsoft Rifle! Step away from a traditional style AK and head into your next match with the innovative design of this model.
The superb quality of this build features steel external parts like the receiver and aluminum parts like the outer barrel. The handguard, stock, pistol grip, and magazine are formed with a reinforced polymer. This airsoft gun is also equipped with a 6.02mm tight bore barrel for improved accuracy. A micro-switch trigger along with low resistance wiring is also included for ultimate trigger response and reliability! Altogether, the parts combine into this great performing airsoft gun.
Other pleasant features of the AK12 include a hand guard with rail sections on the left, right, top and bottom. There is a true quick change spring system that does not require you to remove the gearbox entirely from the frame!
This package includes not one but TWO magazines as well. One is the standard 500 round hi-capacity magazine, while the other mag is a bit more specialized. The second magazine is a mid capacity magazine that is capable of switching the realistic capacity of 30 rounds to a 130 round mid capacity size through a switch on the magazine housing. This airsoft rifle also has the capability of using regular AK style magazines.

This gun is very light for what it is. I have held the LCT before, and that gun is very heavy, and I didn't want to carry it. While not necessarily "light" this gun is defnitely manageable. I have been able to score some pretty long shots with .28g ammo with the tbb and the good gearbox as well. Very solid gun, and very content with my purchase.
The Arcturus AK12, I got this about a and had finally gotten a chance to play with it recently and I can say its one of my new favorite guns out of the box., my overall feeling about it is that its a amazing gun and I would take this over the LCT AK-12, it just has more of comforts that the LCT does not, like a tension release switch to keep you spring so that the spring in the gun last longer and even if it does ware out it has a very accessible QC spring just flip up the dust cover and fold the stock and bam its there
been playing with it and out of the box and not messing with the hop up yet I was hitting 200ft (60 meters) with .20's and the rate of fire is nice as well at least hitting 17 rps with a 11.1 lipo out of the box.
Its super comfy to hold as well put a z-series stubby grip on it and the pull is really nice and the rubber butt pad makes it enjoyable to shoulder doesn't make your shoulder sore like metal one.
one down side is the my other Lipo's I have for my AK's have a hard time with this one as the gas tube is slightly smaller so the battery won't fit down the tube and I have to use a smaller lipo just to get the cover to close fully.
It is picky with mags but the ones it does work with tend to be the better ones out there like the US Palm mags buy PTS
The Arcturus AK12 from what Ive been able to do for testing, is an outstanding gun in terms of quality and replication. Not only was it able to replicate the look of a Russian AK-12 near perfectly from the correct caliber stamping (5.45x39mm) on the left side of the rifle to the Russian Stamping for Full Auto and Burst (Although the gun DOESNT have the burst capability out of box), this gun is exceptional in every way. While I havent had the chance to Chrono this gun yet, with a 7.4v 25-50c 1200mAh High Discharge LiPo, it functions and operates beautifully. The Microswitch trigger is something for me personally to get used to as not only am I not used to the style of microswitch that is in this gun, this is also my first AK that Ive fired and owned. The battery space is a bit small even for a Dust Covered AK but ill give them the pass because it has something that Ive never personally seen in an AK. A True Quick Change Spring System. Out of the box, the gun is perfect for range. With my first test, the gun is able to EASILY reach around 60-70 yards (180-190 feet) with G&G Competition Grade .28g Bio BBs, thanks to its factory installed 6.02mm Tightbore Inner Barrel coupled with the Copper CNC Cylinder and Cylinder Head. That are also, factory stock parts. The gun itself, in my opinion is more worth your money over the LCT model mainly BECAUSE of the factory upgrades straight out of the box (that and the magazines feed all the way through; but thats none of my business -sips tea-). The nice thing too is the gun does come with not only one but TWO magazines out of box; one high cap (500rds) and one mid cap (130rds OR you can make it a milsim magazine with the flip of a switch over to 30rds). It also comes with the standard AK-12 Muzzle Brake WITHOUT orange paint on it, you just have to remove the factory orange tip and latch it in place. The rear leaf sight is also movable as its nothing more than the twist on an allen screw under the adjustment bar for the sight to lock it in place. The only thing that it does lack in the gearbox is room for a Titan or what have you due to the microswitch on the trigger from what I understand; unless you do some modification to the gearbox, you might have to get a WARFET system but even then , your kill out some battery space BUT to each their own at this point (thus why im using a 7.4v LiPo) If your looking for a really nice AK-12 Replica for a RUSFOR Kit (which is why I bought the rifle) this is an amazing gun to get, especially for its price point. Overall, a VERY solid rifle
Upgraded straight out of the box
Magazines feed all the way through
Mid-Cap Mags can be switched to Milsim Mags
Affordable for a nice AK-12 Replica
Extra mags are INEXPENSIVE! $12-15 a pop here on ASGI!
The battery compartment is lacking a bit at least for me (M4 based User. Used to more room for batteries)
The gun does not come with instructions on how to properly fit the AK-12 Muzzle Brake on
The way to open and close the dust cover can be a bit confusing at first as it takes some getting used to. Its a latch/hinge system compared to a normal AK dust covers button removal system
