I bought this gun when it came with the scope and I really enjoyed it. No jams or anything and it is very accurate for the price.

An AEG will always perform better than a lower end sniper out of the box, and be more enjoyable to more players. Sniping is generally not a very fun playstyle and leads to many people not enjoying their first time out. If possible, go with an electric rifle.
