Boneyard Gun BY1523

Nice weapon, nice construction, nice price.
I received the MK46 last week but was unable to test it because the Battery Charger that I bought went up in smoke immediately. Airsoft GI sent me the replacement, I charged the battery that I had Batteries Plus make (8 Energizer AA's totalling 9.6v @ 2500mA) and tested it last night. WOW!!
I'll back up now and review all my impressions starting at it's arrival:
The gun arrived in a cardboard box with no damage and was solidly packed inside.
My first impression upon pulling it out was one of satisfaction. I've heard people talk about Star's reputation for using plastic but this gun has metal in all the parts that matter. The rail system, the collapsing stock, the bipod, the gears and the barrel are all metal. Everything is well constructed with no noticable flaws or loose fitting parts. The hidden wires among the "bullets" and the straight feed system is ingenious!
Upon fitting the stock and magazine, I picked it up and was completely surprised at it's lightness for it's size. Nice! Again, nothing rattled or seemed loose while toting it around.
The next thing I did was removed my Eotech 552 from one of my real steel rifles and mounted that on the MK46. Absolutely MEAN looking!
Finally, my impressions on shooting it: FPS seems solid. I still need to chrono it. Rate was impressive but what got my attention was the response of the trigger. I could limit myself to just 2 round bursts with ease.
Overall, I'm very satisfied and based on my initial judgements would recommend this weapon.

good weapon, good price, awesome stock fps. my friend bought one of these, got it ugraded to like 1200 RPS and 450 FPS with a 10.8v battery, he got a acog, took off the bipod, and got a CA 'nade launcher. it rocks!! ultimate fort defender! definatley worth it.

Hit your friend hard for lieing to you about the firing rate on it.

1200 RPS is not possible.

1200 RPM maybe.
