Description:
The VR is an adaptor that threads onto the end of your AEG. Inside of the unit is a membrane with two slots cut into it. If you push on the membrane, the slots allow the membrane to open up. As the BB travels down the inner barrel, the membrane is closed. This causes air pressure to build up IN FRONT of the BB, which is what causes the reduction of velocity. That is how spin is maintained, and the speed is reduced without touching the BB. Once the BB gets close enough, the pressure is too great and the membrane opens, allowing the BB to travel through it. The adaptor comes with four rings. Each ring is a different width. Inside of the device are little arms that push against the membrane. Installing a thick ring keeps those arms furthest away from the membrane, meaning the membrane stays mostly closed, and the velocity is reduced the most. The thinner the rings get, the more the arms push against the membrane and open it. The more the membrane is open before the BB arrives, the less pressure is put on the front of the BB, and the faster the BB is allowed to travel.
