I was excited to get my hands on this gun. I've been looking for a nice airsoft CO2 gun since green gas is not readily available in my area and I don't like the propane smell. Opening the box, the gun had some grease/lubrication on the slide. There are a few cosmetic issues with the paint, and upon moving the slide a few times, some paint dust or something got onto my hands. I couldn't tell where it came from, as no paint was obviously missing from before. My guess is that it wasn't cleaned well when manufactured and assembled. I was also sad to discover that the rear sights do not have the two white dots. But that's a simple fix.

The magazine is well built. The CO2 doesn't leak and I got about 2.5 mags of bb's in for one cartridge of Crossman CO2. The magazine clicks twice when inserting it into the gun. If you only insert it into the first click, it can still fall out or be pulled out. The mag release is great. The CO2 mags have the thin bottom plate, not the thick one like on some green gas clips.The slide release is a little difficult to pull down, since the safety switch is so close. I saw some reviews on other sites saying this gun doesn't have a safety switch, but it definitely does have a functioning safety. I'm not a fan of the quality of the outer barrel, so I have the Matrix upgraded threaded outer barrel and mock suppressor, along with a new 6.01 barrel, upgraded recoil spring, and an extra mag. Now that TM and KWA aren't really producing the 226 line anymore, I feel like it's harder to get upgraded parts for this gun than, say, the 1911 line.

As far as operation goes, the gun has a solid kick and the fps is probably around what is advertised. Note that the box says 410fps (with 12g bb's) but the instructions say to only use 20g or higher. I can't comment on the accuracy or the hopup, really, since I haven't used it beyond like 5 yards, but so far nothing worries me.

Overall, I'm fairly pleased. This is my first gas pistol, but I've used others. If you're looking for something that isn't so common and CO2, this is a good choice. I really wanted a p229, but I couldn't find a CO2 mag for it.

-Sturdy construction
-Great magazine
-Strong kick (no more than a .22)
-Great fps

Cons:
-Paint job has some defects
-No rear site dots
-Mods/upgrades are not as available as other models
-Outer barrel could have been better made (but at least there are a few replacements available!)
