Product Information:
I ordered this to contemplate installing it either in my HFC VSR clone or the Echo 1 m28 I ordered. I decided to do the VSR since I upgraded the spring. Since this was the only sear set in stock and the cheapest, I ordered it (only to see it go on sale a few days later, oh well).

First off, this is made by some Tiawan company called 'www.action-army.com' whose website is incomplete. Second, at first appearence, this are heavier and rougher than the stock sear set. I tested with a magnet and to my surprise, the included springs were not steel! The searset itself was, however, my magnet wasn't attracted to it quite as much as some steel gears from an AEG I had, meaning this must have something else mixed in or are just low iron content (either way, bad news bears).

Trying to install these was a nightmare from hell. The trigger box needed tons of drilling to work with it, the spring guide stopper's hole was not wide or deep enough, and I constantly had trouble getting it to catch my piston. It would work (and you really had to yank the bolt to get it to click) and then every so many shots it would lock up and I'd have to push the first sear down. The third time it locked up, I push down with a decent quality steel screw driver, and the peg on the side of the first sear SNAPPED. Um, what the heck? I thought this was supposed to be good quality steel? Upon further inspection I noticed that the metal when you looked on the inside looked EXACTLY like the cheap porous pot metal that broke off one of my CA M4's bodies. Only difference is this did have some sort of iron or steel in it.

All in all, I am EXTREMELY disappointed in the quality of this. For 55 dollars I expect a drop in it fit that works like a dream. The end user should not have to go through this amount of pain and time to make it fit, regardless of how much cheaper it is than the competitors (and even other brands are starting to not seem so expensive considering they probably WORK as intended).

If ANY other brand of sears is in stock, I highly recommend those instead. These sears are not worth the 55 dollars of your hard earned cash. If they were 35 bucks like they were this weekend, I'd consider it, but when it requires this much time to make it work, its just not worth more than 20 bucks to me.

Cons:
-Requires tons of drilling to make it fit
-Low quality metal in both unit and springs
-Pieces SNAPPED OFF from me just apply pressure with a screw driver to unjam it. Even my anti-reversal latch in my Chinese AEGs has taken more pressure and lived.
-Overpriced for the true quality of it (cast metal junk, seriously, if you company who made your specific VSR through any amount of steel into their mixing process, it'd probably turn out just as good if not better)
-Overall worth it if its on sale for less than 40 bucks, but not if you have to pay 55 bucks or shipping.
-If it were me, I'd use you stock sears and some pen/pliers/misc springs so they catch the piston until you can purchase a better quality brand.
