I review this gun even though I purchased this model, in black, at another store.

Good, reliable gun in stock configuration.

This is essentially a full metal combat machine (says Combat Machine on the logo, which is not the same as a CM logo on the regular CMs). Internally, and externally the same excluding the metal body. The body gives it a more real feel and weight. It's sturdy (not pot-metal) and only has G&G trades. This size is 1:1 with the real steel and it use a star nut and delta ring.

The charging handle can be pulled but it does nothing and does not slide in and out smoothly (its not on a track); it is held in place only by the receiver opening and the spring inside. It does not function to open bolt cover. As such, the bolt does not catch and the bolt release is only for show. The bolt cover needs to be held down to access the hopup.

It may or may not come rear attachment point on receiver. Mine did not.

The space in the handguard is adequate for a 9.6v. I run one in with a Burst Wizard King Kong Super 2 Mosfet (Tamiya), and the guns fuse casing all inside without problems.

The high cap mag fits like a glove and is metal. Hopup is good, barrel is decent, FPS is about 330-340. ROF is about 8.

The grip is uncomfortable for one reason, the flat part where the grip meets the trigger guard is somewhat pointed. This aggravates my middle finger after a short while when I have the rifle shouldered.

Outer 2 piece barrel, and triangle post is molded on. Good news is that there are replacements for this part of the outer barrel: gas block version, and a CQB with triangle post version for cheap (both G&G branded).

I have upgraded mine with the a Magpul CTR stock (buffer tube is NOT milspec), the CQB outer barrel replacement, mock silencer (to keep inner barrel length), rail and vertical grip for the handguard, rear sling point, and a G&G Tactical Grip. Had a "A&K M4 RIS for Real Delta Ring " on that required a rubber mallet to install, and it fit well, but I went back to the handguard. I'm also completely gutting it.

All in all a good starter rifle in my opinion, and a good project gun.

Pros:
- Metal body by G&G
- Nice feel and weight
- Good project gun that is sturdy
- Lots of things fit it for customization

Cons:
- CQB power in a field size gun
- Low OTB ROF
- Grip in uncomfortable
- No rear attachment point on receiver (at least mine didn't).
- Wish I had a working charging handle, bold catch, & release system.
