This is a great gun. Performance wise it shoots pretty hard. Mine came out of the box shooting 371fps. It also has great accuracy, So far i've only shot it at about fifty feet but it hits right where you aim. In general it's very solidly built: full metal with a nice weight. The description says only the rear sight is dotted but mine came with the front one dotted as well so thats a plus. It's worth the price.

I only have two problems with this otherwise perfect gun.
First, I absolutely hate the look of the conical barrel. I actually meant to buy the Mk. 2 because of that, but I ordered this one by accident.

Second, The magazine releases sometimes hits the side of my OE tech fast-draw holster and releases the magazine. It's not KWAs fault but it still sucks. I need to either fix something with the holster or the magazine release or risk losing $30 magazines...

-Full Metal
-Shoots about 370fps
-Dotted sights
-enlarged magazine port for easier reloading

-ugly conical barrel
-magazine release problem

The build is beautiful, and strong. Extremely little wobble, even when shaking the gun as hard as you can. Cycling is super smooth, very crisp, nice kick. Easily the strongest recoil of any gbb pistol i've fired. (It's still an airsoft pistol, so it's not like firing a 9mm) but I love this pistol, just need to order a few more mags for it. Everything functions exactly like a real-steal 1911: Beaver-tail safety, thumb safety (doesn't go all the way up unless the hammer is pulled back, nice attention to detail on KWA's part). Speaking of the hammer (love the shape, very easy to pull back with thumb) But, the hammer is actually functional, not just for show. If you take off the slide (realistic field stripping) you'll notice when you pull back the hammer, there's a little nub that comes out near the bottom of the hammer. When you push it in, you see the arm that hits the gas release valve on the mag move forward. So KWA actually made a functioning hammer/firing pin set-up. No other gbb 1911 i've used has that.

The 2 things, ONLY 2 things I could find wrong with this gun, 1: In order to remove the barrel/guide rod from the slide, you must first manually push the barrel assembly forward all the way, then you will see a small hole on the guide rod. Take that really tiny Allen wrench that came in the box, and put the short end of that in the hole with the long end following the length of the guide rod. Bring the barrel assembly back into the slide, then you must wiggle the guide-rod spring set-up forward, off of the nub that holds it in place, tilt the hop-up unit all the way to one side, then wiggle the guide-rod assembly the other way. and eventually it will come free. You can then slide the barrel out the front of the slide. Repeat in reverse to re-assemble.

and 2: (really just being knit-picky about realism, but hey, I'll say it anyway) after emptying a mag, and the slide locks back, and you insert a new mag. You have to release the slide by depressing the slide catch. It will NOT release if you simply pull back the slide. If this is how you normally do it then it won't be an issue, but for those of us that were trained to release the slide catch by pulling back and releasing the slide, this will kind of irritate you a bit.

I could complain about the polymer barrel, but you can buy metal ones from KWA's Pro Shop, and I think ASGI carries them too, so, that's fixable.

Complete metal construction
Smooth as silk operation
Very comfortable to hold
Good weight, feels like the real thing.
NS2 gas system, can't be beat, can go through 2.5 mags on one charge on a normal day.
Metal barrel is available.
(The item description says this version does NOT have a white dot on the front sight, but mine did, so I'm putting that as a Pro.) Saves me from having to add one myself.

Removing barrel/guide-rod from slide is a pain.
MUST manually depress slide-catch to release slide.

KWA is leading the industry in gas blowbacks. I've tried Tokyo Maruis, WA's and all sorts of other guns, but this one is just a monster. In 80 degree weather I can get 56 shots out of one magazine when it only holds 14 rounds! It is very realistic and the kick is incredible. Nice laser etching on the logos and markings, and the grip is very comfortable. It's also very loud, blast to shoot. My only gripe is that the front sight is not doted. The rear sight has 2 dots. The rail is a nice feature more those that like to mount flashlights/ laser or even a vertical grip! ( 20mm rail) The price is competitive and you truely get your money's worth. 350ish fps in warm weather is just plain awesome. Overall this pistol cannot be beat.

Kick is the best
Highly realistic
The NS2 gas system makes it one of best if not the best gas blowbacks out there in terms of efficiency
Very comfortable to hold
Good sights, easy to aim for your target

No white dot on front sight

An amazing addition to anyone's side arm arsenal. This gun features an amazing solid heavy weight body which as forth; my M9 by KWA shares the exact quality and feel. The advantage to this over the M9 is minimized recoil. One feature that you'll notice is the plastic barrel, which at that isn't a bad factor but seems to be highly concealed.

Reduced recoil compared to the M9 of this company.
Decent accuracy for a pistol.
14rd Mag, makes loading easy because there is no zig zag needed for bbs.
Easy trigger fire, no long pull backs also like the M9 of this company.

I lost the mag on the first round and AirsoftGI and Airsplat doesn't have these in stock, evike seemed to but it appears to be a little harder to come by these mags.

No sincere cons to this fine work.

I have had this gun for about two months now I love how it shoots and how accurate it is. Great gun. Only flaw is that you need to get a 1911 specific holster for it cause other holsters wi hit the mag release therefor losing your Mag. Over all great gun though.

Great gun
Great fps
Great feel to the gun
Two functioning safeties

Only con is losing your mag if you do not have it in a 1911 specific holster

Great gun straight out of the box. Just got it 2 days ago (picked it up from the In Store location) and its awesome has a great metal feeling and shoots really accurate. If you are gonna get this gun use propane it shoots faster and harder then green gas and its way cheaper. this GBB pistol great for anyone who wants a gun that will preform. The only thing I wish the wouldn't of done was the big orange tip but besides that there's really nothing else.

great gun
metal feel is awesome
sounds great
preforms great
really accurate

mag only holds 14
ugly orange tip

I didn't get this gun from Airsoft GI, but I decided to write a review here anyways. This is my first GBB, and I love it. It is full metal, and has a very hefty feel. It gives you the impression that it's a gun of good quality, not just some sports store CO2 gun. It's also very efficient; I can get about 1-2.5 clips off with a single load of green gas. Accuracy is good for a pistol, right out of the box I could hit a 6" target from about 50 feet (That's EYEBALLING folks, I don't have the exact measurements.) The kick is beautiful, but firing it one-handed can be a bit of an issue. The only real problem I've found so far is that the barrel moves around significantly when the slide is back, but from what I've read this happens with a lot of KWA's GBBs.

-Full metal
-Hefty Hefty HEFTY
-Looks beyond awesome.
-Kicks back. A LOT.
-Freakin' loud, bro!
-Ergonomic (all the switches, except slide release, can easily be pressed with one hand)
-Accurate, at least for a pistol
-Did I mention it looks awesome?
-Rail mount for lasers, lights, etc.

-Wobbly barrel
-Can be a gas hog if you fire it really fast. But ONLY if you fire it really fast, otherwise it's very efficient.
-Green gas or propane only, no CO2.
