When I first got this gun I knew it wasn't going to have alot of FPS. This gun is accurate sometimes and sometimes the bullet curves really bad, you just need to work it in a little bit. I haven't figured out how to adjust the hop up if it even has hop up, but without adjusting the hop up it shoots pretty straight. The sight is also very easy ot use and I like the look of it. As far as I know it doesn't come with a cleaning rod which doesn't really matter because when you get this gun your most likely going to just hang it up on the wall. the gun looks like it is made of real wood but up close you can see it looks like its painted on. it also has very small orange tip which makes it harder for people to see you sneeking around because of your orange tipe. The orange tip doesn't look removable but i'm sure that someone else will figure out a way to remove it. The bolt it stiff out of the box and the bbs curve but after a little bit of usage the gun starts to become a better gun for airsofting. All in all a mighty fine gun it looks great it feels great and it also kind of shoot great compared to some other WWII gun. If you are buying this gun for looks to fool around with and just a little bit of airsoft wars then you are using it for what it was ment to do. But if you are going to buy it to just plain airsoft then think about getting a different kar98 then the d-boys kar98.

looks cool
the sights look cool
its some what light weight
the bolt is really heavy duty so it wont break
if you are a collector this is a must have!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

might lose shells in the heat of battle
shells can get crapped up if you dont push bolt in right

Product Information:
I got the kar 98 a few weeks ago and i must say that by reeding the other reviews i agree that its aim is poor the guns look and feel overcome that for generl sight on the skirmish note what makes up for the guns aim is its raw power with mine i hit a shoe box from about 10 yardes and still went thourgh one side of the box stuck in the other witch my friends aeg could hardly hit

therefor i must say that:

powerful shot
sight to impress
shells (they just look cool)

rather poor aim
shell (they look cool but are still a hassle

This is a sweet looking gun however performance is lacking.. First off the bolt cocks the spring on the forward thrust just something different to take note. Secondly the bolt knob fell off on mine, but i managed to get it back on ok. The accuracy is the biggest disappointment, there is a 2 piece inner barrel each piece having a different inner diameter....hurts accuracy immensely. shells can be a plus or a minus. i think their cool. I would give this gun a 3.5 but there isn't one so i rounded up. good gun for reenacting or display. needs work to make it skirmishable.
