The over all spec of the m240b is great however the ability to get parts for the weapon is hard to do.

ability to support your team, rapidness of reloads, compatibility with many add ons, quickness in changing a battery in the middle of a game

box magazine breaks easily and is hard to both replace and fix,

I bought this beast in April 2013 and I couldn't be happier. I took it to Operation Starburst here in south Texas and it dominated. The range on this thing is monstrous and the accuracy is fantastic. You got 5000 rounds in the mag. Use .25 or heavier with this thing to get the best range. It's VERY difficult to move around with though, its best just to set up some where behind cover and let it rip.

Accuracy is very good for a support gun
Fps is 400 on the light spring and I got 485 on the heavier spring.
5000 rounds

Weight and length make it very difficult to move arround.

Fantastic reproduction. The weight feels great, but a little lighter without having a real load of 7.62mm belted. Accuracy is fantastic, firing mechanism is great. To me the sound of 240b going off was very unique on the field. Box magazine is the only weak point of the entire weapon. Exposure to heat and time had made the cardboard separate from the loader. 90% of the bbs would fall under the loader and out the bottom of the box. I was unaware this was happening until half way through the OP. 1 BB out of 20 would load and fire.

Good attention to detail.
Good FPS
Great accuracy and range
Solid construction

Box Magazine is glued together - reinforce it
Orange Tip can not be removed...
Barrel needs to be threaded for tracer adapters

First off, this is spot on in terms of a replica serving it's role... right out of the box. I am certainly happy with the stock specifications and performance. Tried .20 to .26 gram BBs, it handles the .23s the best. The soundly strong bi-pod having no issues supporting this beast when fully laden. The electric winding mechanism using the only battery doesn't seem to have a contrasting strain in relation to using just the battery with the gearbox. The weight could be a problem, but it isn't so bad when taking a knee shouldering this. The box magazine's cardboard should be replaced with something more water resistant like composite(keeping the weight down, keeping rigidity). The location of the trigger switch is not agreeable with me, having to fix a connection after installing the stock. The quick release on the barrel slipped on me once nearly resulting separation between the barrel and aft end. However, Echo 1's replica is a pleasure to own and use!!

Turning heads calling attention, this MG is almost ready to serve it's role. It just needs BBs, targets far off of the business end and you on the trigger!!!

P.S. - The Axeman is right, leave the bi-pod extended on this one!

M240B's structural integrity is ON PAR:
Top cover
Box magazine attachment frame
All of these main components are built solid!

Other Pros

Magazine capacity
Battery room
Easy dis-assembly of components
Metal air-nozzle
Hop-Up bucking
RIS system
Stiff iron-sights

Internal Cardboard Box
Location of the trigger switch
