The SOCOM Gear Full Metal 1911 Black Ops Airsoft Gun is a great addition to SOCOM Gear's latest line up. Modeled after a TM Hicapa 5.1 the Black Ops comes pre-upgraded with a metal slide and high performance internals. Featuring a skeltonized trigger and hammer with a match style adjustable rear sight. The SOCOM Gear Full Metal 1911 Black Ops features a double stack textured grip, metal lower receiver and a fully serrated slide featuring Black Ops trade marks. The gun feels very solid in your hands and kicks hard but still maintains a nice crisp feeling so you can easily maintain accurate follow up shots. The Black Ops features 2 safety functions, the grip safety which only allows the gun to be fired if you hand is on the grip. The left thumb safety located at the top of the grip and is ambidextrous allowing you to also engage it with your trigger finger. This gun would be a great addition to any load out, especially If you are creating a Black Ops loadout.

This is a sturdy and durable gun but when I got this gun, it was rough and messy upon moving back the slide. The insides were extremely dirty and took me a while to clean off the blackened grease on the internals and apply fresh lube. The exterior looks decent except there were some stains all over the gun, which I assume to be some sort of adhesive or glue. What I didn't understand was how Airsoft GI could have sold me a gun that looked this poorly especially when they claim to test their guns for efficiency.

-Sliding movement did not feel smooth enough.
- Barrel exterior was scratched.
I got this gun last summer, and it has held up very nicely with quite abit of wear put on it. The orange cap came right off when I received mine and the barrel is not threaded. Taking the gun apart is super simple and actually really easy after a while. Even after taking it apart multiple times and putting it back together, it is still very sturdy. The pistol grip safety did loosen up after awhile but That will just happen with wear. You do recieve two mags with this gun but one of mine was very leaky.
