[O07B00][15275 / PPSSP0001]New to airsoft? Here are some safety tips for airsoft guns that we recommend following.
The Mosin-Nagant, developed by the Imperial Russian Army between 1882-1891, was most commonly used by the Armed Forces of the Russian Empire, Soviet Union, and other Nations. The Mosin-Nagant was a bolt action, internal magazine-fed military rifle. Designed similar to the real gun counterpart, the Red Fire Mosin-Nagant is an extraordinary replica for collectors and airsoft players alike. The externals of the gun feature a well finished wood stock, steel bolt, and unique serial number to replicate the real gun counterpart. The Mosin-Nagant features a unique internal magazine function. Lastly, there are two sling mounting points in the front and rear of the rifle as well as a plastic bayonet to finish off the gun's appearance. Overall, this airsoft gun is a very unique yet functional airsoft gun that is a must for collectors and airsoft players alike.

First off, I am an airsoft collector (163 various airsoft weapons) and practical target shooter; I do not participate in airsoft games or reenactments. This is not the most expensive springer I have ever bought, but for the money it ranks right up there with my KTW Winchester and Mare's Leg, and my $600 KTW flintlock. Accuracy is about the same as the KTW's; pretty damn good out of the box. Wood and workmanship on the Mosin Nagant is excellent, superior to the KTW's which for the price are very well made. Awhile back I bought the gas "Matrix" version and was happy with that, this springer is equal to it while being useful in different situations than the higher power gas version.
Bayonet is cool but won't fit over the orange tip, so you have to remove that which is of course not recommended.
Pros:
Well made solid build.
Mine is accurate out of the box.
Looks in much better condition than my freind's real steel ;)
Cost about the same as the real one's in the store around me.
Cons:
the Price... for most airsoft people.
Have to remove orange tip to use bayonet.

Which is better? The spring version of the rifle or the gas version?

Staff Answer:
That is up to personal preference. Both perform well, however if you live in a colder environment, spring would be better because the chemistry of gas does not tend to work well in colder temperatures. 3669 days ago 0
