Purchased two of these to go onto my pair of JG G36C AEG rifles. Received them today, and tried installing them onto the guns. Noticed quickly that tightening them down once slid onto the rail was tough, and not easy to do. When tightened as much as possible, they wobbled from side to side. Feel was improved, will try out during game this weekend to see if I'll keep them or ditch them.
Pros:
Great feel, seems to be improved stability with the gun.
Cons:
Wobbles on lower RIS rail on the JG G36C model. Haven't tried on another model yet.
Bought this... maybe 2 months ago, wasn't gonna write a review on it as there's not much to tell. But the first reviewer's comments made me decide to write this.
This is a very standard all plastic VFG. Nothing special about it, no side rails like the G&G or SRC in the same prince range, no built in pressure switch notch, nothing. This is the VFG that Echo 1 will supply with some of their weapons, in particular the full metal bodied SCAR-L.
I actually got this for my Echo1 G36c/D-36c/JP-36c/X36c whatever you want to call it. I didn't notice any problems getting the VFG to tighten or even the wobbliness like Guy did, but I did notice that if you don't center the tab just right into the empty spaces between the rails it will actually deform the peg itself, and that's why they give you the 2 holes on the top to line up the tab and the space between rails correctly.. Mine actually has a deformed peg on it because of this and before I realized what the two holes were for.
Also DO NOT over tighten this sucker! There is only like 1 small spot of glue per half holding the threads on the inside on. I over tightened mine, and it broke. Nothing a small amount of Loctite Superglue couldn't fix, and ever since then I haven't had a problem.
This works on my G36 and my UMP beautifully now that I fixed the insides with some super glue.
Pros:
Basic - could be a con if you're looking for something more
Light - coudl also be a con if looking for something heavier and/or metal (for whatever reason)
Haven't experienced any wobble in it.
Fits both guns I own without a problem.
After some minor problem were fixed, it's very sturdy for me.
Cons:
Can deform the tab that holds the grip to the rail rather easily if not put on correctly.
Threads inside can crack and break the glue that holds them on if over tightened.
Basic - can be a pro if you aren't looking for anything extra in it.
Light - if for some rason you want a metal or heavier plastic VFG, this isn't what you want.
This fore grip is great, its light and easy to attach and detach. You wont find another foregrip this good for this price.
Pros:
Price
easy to move/remove
light
looks awesome on my CA36k
Cons:
none so far
