G&G GR15 Raider XL DST Plastic M4 Carbine Blowback AEG Airsoft Rifle (Tan)
[R10B00][06722 / GNG-EGR-15PRXLDBBNCM / EGR-15P-RXL-DBB-NCM]New to airsoft? Here are some safety tips for airsoft guns that we recommend following.
The G&G GR15 Raider Carbine Electric Blow Back Airsoft Gun is an excellent solution for a high quality, low price, AEG. The body is made from G&G's famous ABS plastic. The barrel, RIS, and gearbox are completely metal. The monolithic rail system is the perfect platform for mounting optics like holosights or red dot sights; it's also very sturdy for mounting vertical grips and flashlights. This particular rail system extends in front of the front sight to provide a longer platform for the user to grip the gun. The pneumatic blowback system adds realism to the gun without sacrificing performance or reliability. The crane stock houses the battery so the user can adjust the length of the stock to their preferences while keeping the battery wires hidden. This is a well engineered and executed AEG from one of the most famous airsoft gun manufacturers.

I have had this gun for two days. So be warned that I can not tell you how long the gun will last. Although it feels very nice and sturdy (some minor exceptions). However, another person in my airsoft group also owns this gun. Im running my gun with a 9.6v 1400mah nunchuck battery. I have already taken this gun to a match that was located in the woods. I will give an honest review but keep in mind that this is my first A.E.G.
Pros:
-the hand grip is very comfortable
-the selector switch snaps into place with no worries.
-it can preform in the woods well.
-the rail system is elongated making for alot of reality space for flash light and lasers.
-solid construction.
-really is just a wonderful gun for 200 dollars. (my total was 242.90 with the gun, smart charger, and battery-10% off coupon and free shipping was used.)
Cons:
-the stock wobbles. This is because inorder to switch the battery out you remove the stock.
-the magazine wobbles. I have been told that this can be fixed with electrical tape however, I have not done that my self and cannot tell you the results.
-the front iron sight appears to be attached. However, in the great words of CrazyNCman "just take a &%*# hack saw to it".
-on the first day of its arrival a set screw came undone (after playing with it). This is not a big deal considering how easily it was fixed. I just though I would throw that in.
Im giving this gun a 5 out of 5 based on first impressions. I feel like I will be with this gun for a while.
G&G GR15 Raider XL Electric Blow Back Airsoft Gun ( Tan / XL )
I ordered this gun in order to do a review and see for myself if this is in fact the best bang for your buck. I do reviews, and Tech work here in Fl for Local guys. And being as popular as I am, I am asked time and time again "What is a good starter, or a good affordable platform".. My answer has always been the G&G GR series.. But my recommendations have always been based on other peoples feedback/personal use. My goal to to see first hand how good this thing is out of the box, and to also modify it for performance and see what can be done on a limited budget.
I will note that the Front end on this gun is not a one piece as stated or believed. I received mine with a completely loose Front Sight. In order to fix this, I had to loosen the Rail, and tighten some set screws that held the front of the outer barrel to the rear outer barrel assembly. It is in fact a 3 piece outer barrel assembly. The Front Sight can be removed. CAN BE REMOVED by removing some set screws.
When I received the product, I immediately called GI, and got some info on fixing the wobble.. Tyler was very ez to talk to, and the guidance I received after convincing them I was right about the front assembly being more than one piece, I was on my way to fixing it... Search Shwell11 on Youtube for guidance if you have a similar problem.
So far, for the money I do not think you can beat these guns. The only other option I can think of in the price range and performance is the ICS Sportline models also offered by GI..
Pros:
Affordable
Light Weight
For the money very well equiped
Ease of use right out of the box (340FPS)
Feels great when held in tactical position
Very versatile length
Cons:
For some the Plastic body
Does not feel like the real thing (For some a problem)
I received mine with a loose Front site assembly (Fixable)
The finish feels toyish (It is a Toy)
Front Assembly (Rail and Barrel) are not easily worked on or swapped out
I with the help of my lovely Girlfriend bought this gun for a Christmas gift for myself and boy oh boy is it fun I just recently got into the sport of airsoft switching over from paintball because its cheaper lol. The gun feels nice in my hands shoots accurate and just over all seems like a high quality sturdy piece of equipment.
Pros:
Feels good
Not to heavy not to light
Good quality for a decent price.
Cons:
I'm new to airsoft and so far i dont really have any cons
