The ECHO 1 M249 Lower RAS Unit replaces the standard plastic hand guard with a lightweight aluminum hand guard with a lot more rail space for upgrades. With this rail system you may lose the ability to put the battery between the hand guard and the barrel, a PEQ box and upgraded battery are highly recommended with this piece.

Product Information:
*** You must be minimally handy with tools to mount this to your M249 ***
This lower RAS is one of the best accessories you can purchased for your M249.
It looks sharp when it is mounted and makes mounting accesories a snap.
Instillation note:
Remove the barrel assembly.
Remove the lower hand guard
Remove the retaining-clip assembly for the lower hand guard.
Remove the three HEX-screws from the RAS. (The center one is the shortest.)
Place the bar-stock from the RAS inside the lower assembly of the M249 frame.
(This is why you have to do step 3)
Finger tighten the RAS to the bar-stock, (Use the center screw first)
Align the RAS and tighten the screws with blue thread locker. (Do not over tighten)
If you are thinking of this RAS for your M249 I would also suggest the following accessories.
