OK, so this was a great stock.
Until it broke.
One night I was playing around with my M4 and when I extended the stock the part you squeeze to extend/retract the stock ( Does it have a proper name? ) snapped in half and fell to the ground.
I don't think I was too rough with it or anything, and the part may have just been a piece of crap or something, but I dunno.
I do know that once I get another stock it won't be this one just in case they're poor quality in general. ( Which I doubt, Echo 1 is usually pretty good quality in my experince. )
Pros:
Full metal.
Actually subtracts a minor amount of weight from your M4 if you have a Retractable stock.
Solid.
Makes your M4/M16 Look less "Same-y"
Cons:
Can be tough to fold/ unfold at first.
It's not the most comfortable stock in the world.
Mine broke, though I may have been unlucky.
If you don't have a skeleton stock already, you may have to modify your gun some to get this to fit.
I was wanting a nice Folding stock for my M4, so I went with this. I decided to get this over the Skeleton Style folding stock since this can retract, also. I believe I made the right choice. So far, this stock has been great for me, though I have had some problems.
First problem was installation. I had to cut a LARGE chunk of my buffer tube off. That wasn't a problem. The problem was that I had to also sand down the base of the buffer tube to actually fit the stock on. This took over and hour of work since I didn't have the proper tools to do so.
Second Problem was the attachment screw. The head of this screw stripped way too easily. It is actually stripped right now, so I'm glad that the gun worked after I put it back together since I cannot remove my stock.
Third Problem was the wobbling. Folded or unfolded, this stock is VERY wobbly. This problem is mainly because of the mechanism used for folding. It doesn't hold it 100% tight. Not too big of a problem, just a little annoying at times.
So, even though it has those problems, this stock is well worth the money.
Pros:
Retracts
Folds
Made completely of Metal
Cons:
Must cut and sometimes sand buffer tube to install
Installation Screw is kind of weak
Very wobbly...
