Apex MK13 M4 Mod 4 Carbine AEG Airsoft Rifle (Black)
[P08B00][16784]New to airsoft? Here are some safety tips for airsoft guns that we recommend following.
APEX AIRSOFT: ALWAYS PREDATOR, NEVER PREY.
In the natural world, apex predators ( also known as alpha, super, or top predators ) are predators with few to no predators of their own, residing at the top of their food chain. Apex Airsoft Guns embody this spirit when it comes to providing you with the best possible out-of-the-box airsoft electric gun. Apex has taken decades of airsoft designing, manufacturing, and playing experience to bring to the airsoft player a brand of airsoft guns unmatched by anything else on the market in terms of features and price. No fancy gimmicks, no unproven technologies, no window dressing. These airsoft guns are built with function in mind, using proven, off-the-shelf technologies to maximize durability and quality, while minimizing the price.

Tech's Opinion:
"The Apex Guns have pretty much the exact same internals as CA LWRC guns. The 9mm Bearings are simply 8mm's with a larger outer race. The inner barrel looks to be of good quality (steel). The piston head, cylinder head, & cylinder are of the bore-up style. Compression is good from these parts. The hopup is the metal version of the new gen VFC. This gun also has the same design blowback mechbox as Classic Army & APS. There are some minor flaws with the design choices, such as the air nozzle compression and the mechbox durability, but for the price range its a decent choice."

*This is an amazing gun for any player who isn't looking to spend in the 350-500 price range. It comes with a 6.03 tightbore barrel, aesthetics blowback, (No actual recoil simulation) and has a excellent ROF out of the box (Using an 11.1 lipo battery). The range is decent, about 180ft to hit dead on but past that don't expect an EVERY SHOT hit. I chrono'd mine at 383-389 using .25 elite force bb's.
*The gun comes with an excellent stubby grip and decent rail covers (I wasn't a fan of them but they seems to be good quality)
As for external parts, it features a polymer crane stock, all metal body, all metal RIS, and polymer pistol grip.
*Overall an amazing gun!!!
Pros:
Works with majority of mags (EF,KWA,MAG,ECHO1)
High ROF (With 11.1)
Good Range (Around 180ft)
Comes with grip and covers (Stubby grip) (2 one piece rail covers)
Extremely Solid Construction
Cons:
Not a lot that I could find, though I noticed not so great performance using a 7.4 lipo laying around, but that's a much less powerful battery so that's not really a big deal.
It's also a bit heavy, which could be a pro for some, and if you want light; buy polymer guns!
I bought this gun and the first thing you notice is the heft behind this gun. The gun is going to be way to heavy for anyone under 150 lbs, a smaller person couldn't handle it. The gun shoots great and is packed with good internals. The milspec stock is kind of a downer but its ok with me. Also the rail system is ok material but the rail space doesn't match most rails and the included grip/rail covers wobble A LOT. Its not that big of a deal since I have a keymod rail I will be putting on it. It has a great rate of fire with a 9.6v. I heard it is lipo ready but my charger isn't woking so I cant really say if it is safe. I overall this gun is great for 230$ and is a great alternative to the kwa cqr
Pros:
Metal Body
Looks Great
Amazing internals
Nice and Hefty
"Lipo Ready"
Blowback is nicer than G&G
6.03 barrel
Great Price for Performance
Metal body
Quick Change spring
9mm bearings
Low Resistance Wiring
AMBI mag release
Cons:
Rails aren't correct size and attachments wobble
Rail covers are kinda crappy
Hop up is nice but doesn't have much room for upgrades
Great gun for the intermediate player. Very respectable rate of fire with a 9.6. The metal body is also very solid. The tamiya connectors came off the wiring right away which kinda sucked but I was going to switch them to deans anyway
Pros:
The ROF
Hop up is good quality
Metal externals
High quality internals
Nice blowback
Cons:
Tamiya connector quality
Can't upgrade the hop up

Sturdiness
How sturdy is this RIS compared to the mod 5 which has the monolithic upper rail? And how much play is thee between the upper and lower receiver?
3634 days ago Ryan S

(I have this same question)
Staff Answer:
Both have very sturdy rail systems with minimal if not any play between the upper and lower. Mod 5 does not have a true Monolithic upper. But similar. Monolithic uppers are classified as a one solid piece from the rail to the upper with no breaks in between. 3634 days ago 0

Burst Wizard
If you pay the 20$ extra to install the burst wizard, how does it work? Does it substitute semi with burst? If so, is it permanent or is it simple to change so can you take it off/on between matches?

(I have this same question)
Staff Answer:
We don't install it. It is a plug and play kit. You simply plug it into the connector then plug your battery in. Takes a few seconds. Then you can regulate the different settings during gameplay. It is not permanent, you can go back to the original settings. 3638 days ago 0

Tenergy Stick Lipo. You can do piston upgrades or motor swaps. Different ratio gears. There are a lot of things that you can do. But out of the box this gun will not need any upgrades. This already performs exceptionally well! 3638 days ago 0

I'm guessing this blowback system works off the piston and then is set forward by a spring and is not like the g&g pneumatic system. Is there anyway I can disable it without compromising any performance?
