ARES Full Metal M110 AEG Airsoft Gun (Tan)
[05152 / AEG42T]New to airsoft? Here are some safety tips for airsoft guns that we recommend following.
The ARES Full Metal M110 is a brilliant airsoft gun. In addition to being a very accurate replication o its real gun counterpart its also a well thought out and designed airsoft gun. Every function on this AEG is ambidextrous, the magazine release, the bolt release, the fire selector, and even the sling swivel points can be moved from one side to the other. The front flip sight is cleverly disguised as a section of the top rail, and the butt stock has an adjustable plate so the shooter can customize its length for comfort. The reason it's a well designed airsoft gun is because it's a 7.62mm AR body but it features a standard version 2 gearbox under the metal body. This allows the Ares M110 to be compatible with upgrade and reinforcement parts that are easy to find and appropriately priced. Ares didn't stop at building a fantastic gun, they also took the liberty to include rail covers and a very solid 1" double ring scope mount. This is an excellent long range sniper rifle airsoft gun and possibly the best in looks and functionality.

I just got this rifle today. Im pretty pleased with it. The tan it comes in is much darker then the picture but it matches about 90% to the rest of the gun so its not weirdly colored like some cheaply made scars. The metal on the main body is unlike i have ever seen on a rifle. Its very smooth. I have a G&G m4 and compared to that the G&G is very rough. The gun looks beautiful though. The bolt catch and release work great. I did have a few problems with the rifle though that kinda ticked me off.
(oh one thing. The motor was not properly adjusted. It sounds like the gears just arnt turning and its a bad sound. Adjust the screw at the bottom of the grip until it stops making that sound.)
Pros:
Beutiful
Powered well but needs to be upgraded. Shot around 350-360 with .25 i think.
very sturdy. No clanking and loose parts
bolt catch and release.
comes with second flash hider.
Only two modes Safe and Semi (yes that is a pro a very big pro. No sniper should have a rifle that has the option to go "Auto"
Adjustable rear stock.
Decent stock accuracy. Consider upgrading before upgrading FPS.
Cons:
Some are just nit picky others just piss me off.
The RIS and Barrel move a good 1-2 CM. Which doesn't sound like a lot but trust me its a lot.
To put the battery in you need to basically disassemble the stock which is a pain.
The two hex screws on the body that should take off the upper half disintegrated. That really pissed me off. Come on i paid 500 for this gun i shouldn't see wobbly ris and dissolving screws.

I got this gun today and wow!!! What a beauty. Very well made and beautifully finished. I got mine from an Asian retailer because I wanted full trademarks. If that is not important to you, then buy from here. URX is very tight and appears to have a one piece barrel. The RIS covers are really nice. Gearbox sounds nice and tight and while this gun is marked semi, it swing over to the full auto position. Very high rate of fire on full auto. I really wish ARES had included the suppressor for this gun. I will probably have to make one. Includes nice metal flash hider.
Version 2 style gear box and quick change spring system makes upgrades easy. I will probably put a tightbore and a M130 spring and call it quits.
Pros:
Great finish
Nice fit and construction
High rate of fire
Metal Flash Hider
Cons:
No suppressor
You won't get the orange flash hider off without destroying it.
Screws for scope mount are too short. May have to drill and tap for longer screws.
