CISCO'S TOP 5 GAS BLOWBACK AIRSOFT PISTOLS FOR 2024

2024 is here and I wanted to make my personal list of pistols you should pick up for the up coming year! Isaias made a his own list and I had some different choices than him. You should take a look at both of our lists and pick up the one you love the most!

KLI 1911 Hi-Capa Baba Yaga CO2 Version

I consider this to be the best airsoft pistol of 2019 and to hold the mantel in 2020. The KLI Baba Yaga Hi-Capa is able to use both CO2 and Green Gas Magazines. When using the CO2 magazines, this is the hardest kicking airsoft pistol I have ever shot. I personally love my Elite Force 1911 Tac, but the kick is a night and day difference. The out of the box accuracy and range was also very impressive. We were able to hop .30g BBs perfectly with more room for adjustment. We were able to hit a man sized target at 150 feet with ease. The textured high cut grip gives positive contact to make sure the gun doesn’t leave your hands unless you want it to. The Fiber Optic Iron Sights are perfect for fast target acquisition. The slide cuts and window ports make faster cycling and a very aggressive look. The picatinny rail is cut into the frame. This makes for a more solid mounting platform for flashlights or lasers. The slide is 5.1 inches in length, meaning that you can change the slide for any other 5.1 slide you like! Anyone who shoots this gun will understand why it is my first pick.

Springfield Armory XDM 4.5”

My second pick is a very under rated pistol. When you hear Springfield, you might think if their 1911 or their M1A. Not too many people think of their XDM Series. This is the next generation from the XD series. I personally own a real XD 4” Service Model and I can say that the airsoft version of the XDM feel and functions very similar to the real firearm. The first thing you will notice is the aggressive texturing on the grip. This is a huge improvement from the XD models. More aggressive and tactile for a positive grip. The grip angle is the same as a 1911 and feels very natural in your hands. There are three different sized back straps for you to get the most comfortable grip as possible. The grip safety and trigger safety make this one of the safest pistols to carry loaded. The ambidextrous magazine release is easy to activate on both sides, perfect for left handed users. On the real firearm there is a loaded chamber indicator at the top of the slide and a locked hammer indicator at the back of the slide. The airsoft version does have both, but only the hammer indicator is active. The chamber indicator will show it is always loaded, which isn’t a bad thing. This gun is green gas powered and feels very good. It is very accurate and has pretty good range out of the box. If you want something different with great performance, the XDM series is perfect for you!

Elite Force Glock 18c Gen 3

Since Glock officially joined the airsoft world, they have been working fast with Elite Force to make a plethora of their catalog available. The Glock 18c has been highly anticipated and have finally made it to the players hands! The Glock 18 is built in the iconic Gen3 configuration. With the traditional Glock sights and trigger, it almost feels like a Glock 17. That is until you notice the fun switch on the left side of the gun. The full auto is a lot of fun and is very accurate! You will only want to use full auto in a very tight situation because it does consume a lot of gas. Did I mention that it comes with the extended magazine out of the box?! If you are on the market for a Glock, you should greatly consider the Glock 18c!

SIG Sauer Proforce M17 CO2

My fourth choice is the SIG Sauer M17. When this pistol was first released, I quickly learned why it was chosen to be used by the U.S. Military. I will start with the ergonomics. This gun features an ambidextrous slide release, safety, and the magazine can be switched around to work for left handed users. The slide utilizes an optic plate for you to get an aftermarket RMR plate. The magazine holds 22 rounds which is accurate to the real extended magazine. There are Green Gas models available, but the gun itself can use either magazine. With Green Gas, the gun will be shooting around 300-330 FPS. With CO2, the first few shots will be around 420 FPS! Once it settles, the velocity will drop to around 380 FPS. The textured pistol grip is very comfortable and is ready to play when you are!

JAG Arms 5.1 GMX 2B Hi-Capa

The last pick on my list is the JAG Arms GMX 2B Hi-Capa. JAG Arms released the new GMX series late is 2019, but these guns are crazy good! All of their new pistols are using the new G2 Low Friction Blowback System. This make the slide cycle very smoothly and improve the gas efficiency. Out of the box in 65 degree weather, we were able to get roughly three magazines of BB’s on one fill of green gas. They have great range being able to hop .30g BBs and heavier. The consistency out of the box is very impressive as well. The biggest perk to these pistols is the price! All of the GMX Series currently retails for $109.95! THIS IS CRAZY! Only $110 for a great performing and looking pistol! This last minute release definitely earns the last spot on my list!

BONUS GUN – JG Golden Eagle IMF Night Warrior 3309 OTS Tactical

This gun is so note worthy that I had to include it in my list! Golden Eagle has released a line of 1911’s and Hi-Capa’s and they are very impressive. They have a full metal construction with slightly reinforced internals. The 3309 uses a 4.3 Hi-Capa Style Slide with a single stack 1911 grip. The included magazine is actually a 24 round double stack. Utilizing the space and design of the magazine to maximize the ammo capacity. The extra rounds are very appreciated because the gas efficiency on these hand guns are really good! We were able to get 2 and ½ magazines of BBs on the one fill of green gas. That is out of the single stack style magazine! I have seen other 1911 style guns have trouble getting through 15 rounds on one fill of gas! These pistols are also 100% Tokyo Marui compatible! Every single part in the gun was tested with both stock TM and after market upgrade parts and there were no fitment issues at all! They were all simple install and use. The killer part about these pistols in the price. They are all starting at $69.00! ONLY $70 FOR A 100% TM CLONE! This is truly a game changer! You can now build a custom Hi-Capa for a fraction of the cost! Money spent on a Tokyo Marui Hi-Capa base can now be spent toward an aftermarket slide, barrel, trigger, pistol grip, etc! You will not be disappointed with the JG Golden Eagle Gas Blowback Pistols!
