Product Information:
Good first AEG for the money. A lot of thought went into the ergonomics of this design making it look like a much more expensive rifle. However, there are several quirks, some of which can be remedied. First off, the fore grip which houses the battery does seem to come apart too easily. There is a plunger type device that locks into a notch on the top half of the grip, but the spring is much too weak. I haven't addressed this issue yet, but I will be looking into replacing the spring with one that has more tension. Secondly, CHECK THE FOUR SET SCREWS THAT HOLD THE OUTER AND INNER BARRELS IN POSITION! After installing a mock suppressor I noticed a lot of wiggle in the barrel. Applying moderate force I was able to lift the outer barrel completely of the rifle. Some blue Loctite and a good allen wrench solved this problem. Lastly, the selector switch has a positive click for each mode when going from safe to full auto. However, when going from FA back to safe mode I notice no positive click at the single shot position. While shooting it I have had one instance where the gun would not shoot after switching from FA to SS mode. If this problem persists I will be contacting G&G. All in all, if you enjoy tweaking your AEG's this rifle, with all it's quirks, is still a bargain IMO. Fixes are simple and inexpensive if you are a tech type.

Pros:
Overall strong build quality, (mostly metal construction).
Nice weight and feel.
Light and well balanced.
Designed to be a true CQB.
Should last a lifetime with moderate use and maintenance.

Cons:
Do not expect advanced level quality. This is a starter AEG.
Be prepared to tweak a bit here and there.
Fore grip not as secure as needed for gaming environment.
Will update if heavier spring fixes problem.
The set screws on mine were an issue. Blue Loctite where needed.

G&G g26 is a light little gun that shoots nice and is easy to carry around. This was my first gun and I'm glad I bought it as such. I added a 6.03 barrel and maple leaf bucking which helped. It comes with a built in flashlight and laser, both of which are useless and I removed so I could get more battery space. The battery is located in the front hand guard so the extra room was very helpful. The front hand guard is all plastic and does not have a good way of being secured which allows it to come apart when your running and your battery flies out but I would throw some tape on it and continue. The threads on the front of the upper receiver are also plastic which eventually stripped. I never opened my gearbox but after about 15000 shots it cracked. I still used it because it is a comfortable little gun and the crack didn't seem to affect it.

Pros:
Light and comfortable to carry, aim, and shoot
Good starter gun but buy it without the flashlight and laser and save some money.
Takes every m4 mag I put in it with no feeding issues

Cons:
There is to much plastic which causes problems after a lot of use.
Gearbox didn't hold up
Light and laser are useless.
