For: Lancer Tactical AN/PVS-14 Dummy Night Vision Monocular (Black)
Product Information:
These are replica NODs that serve no function other than looking cool. They are quite heavy and sway on the j-arm. From far away they look pretty real but up close they can be identified as replica.

Pros:
Looks cool
Real weight
Comes with j-arm and rail mount

Cons:
Big piece of plastic
For some it may be too heavy
Not a good fit on a real USGI norotos rhino arm

Product Information:
The Lancer Tactical AN/PVS-14 is supposed to be a replica of the actual AN/PVS-14D night vision monocular fielded originally by US Special Forces, but now employed by most US military and law enforcement (especially the US Marine Corps).

Pros:
At a glance, the replica certainly does resemble the AN/PVS-14D that I've worked with for some time. The total weight of the replica, the elbow (these weigh practically nothing), and the Lancer Tactical rhino horn does feel pretty close to the real thing. Unfortunately, that's about the only thing good that can be said about this item.

Cons:
Where to begin. The replica is only good at a glance. Closer inspection reveals shortcuts on details like the IR spotlight emitter, the battery compartment, the gain knob, and the off/on/IR knob. The tube is hollow, with no lenses on the objective side or eyepiece. Just a clear plastic cap on the objective lens cap. The elbow is the worst part. It is completely slack, with no way to tighten it down so that the tube sits over your non-shooting eye. The image on the site shows it sitting over the right eye, and that's exactly how it's going to sit without some extensive modifications to make it even sit still. The weapon mount is also plastic, which when mating with the myriad of METAL rail systems on airsoft guns today, does not bode well.
