FIRST IMPRESSION, AND INSTALLATION-
I was very skeptical of buying this madbull rail at first, mostly because of the high cost, but let me promise you, that all those worries i was having prior to buying it, went away once i held the rail in my hand. First impressions of the rail once i opened it up, was it was very sturdy, and light weight. I then mounted it on my gun, which was a simple step, the hardest part for me was trying to figure out how to mount the front sight. To mount the rail, your going to want to take off your older delta ring, and put the first "screw plate" thing on the gun, then your going to want to put the barrel nut on, and fasten it to the receiver, this would lock in that plate, so it eliminates all wobble. YOU WILL NEED A DANIEL DEFENSE LITE BARREL WRENCH for installation. I ended up ordering one, but it didn't get here as quickly as did the rail, so i used a pair of needle nose pliers to twist on the barrel nut, which did scratch it, but didn't concern me as much, seeing how its beneath the rail, and not seen. And in case your wondering about the front sight, like i was, your going to want to place the front sight in the slot on the rail, then slide the rail completely on. From there, you're going to want to install those 6 screws, with the appropriate allen or hex wrench. And the last step of installing the rail, is to finish the installation of the front sight, there are two cutouts on the sides of the rail for the pins of the front rail. my front sight had 2 screw in pins, so it made it easier, but if you have push pins for it, then your going to want to use some sort of a pin and hammer to get it in. And that's all for installation
This rail is defiantly worth the price, it's a very lightweight rail system, while maintaining its sturdiness. There is absolutley no rail wobble at all too, with help of that barrel nut, and screw system daniel defense uses, and the 12" rail gives your gun a very sleek look to it. My gun personally is a G&G combat machine raider challenge kit, i used a 14.5" outer barrel, and a 150mm long mock suppressor. As far as sights and optics go, i have a front sight post, a replica magpul flip up rear sight, and an acog red dot. Over all, it makes the gun look alot longer, then just the standard 7" carbine rail.
This rail is defiantly worth it, and i recommend it to my friends.
-really sturdy rail
-ABSOLUTELY NO WOBBLE! i put this in caps, because their isn't any at all, and that's a big deal breaker with me and rails
-lightweight because of the high strength aircraft grade aluminum construction
-has a really unique look to it
-The price could be a con to some, i know it was for me too at first, but once i recieved it, it was well worth it.
-The fsp might get in the way for some people, i ended up putting a flip up front sight post in their, so i can flip it up if i want a sight, or flip it down (which left it with a flush look) if not.
-you haven't purchased it yet!
