I currently own this gun and we are going though some major major issues. First and mainly the range on this rifle is pathetic. Hardly 50 ft. And the hop-up is broken and was delivered broken to my knowledge. I did a grouping test today at 50 ft and 100 ft just to know more about the disfunction. At 50 ft the bb's were about an inch or two below my target with the grouping being 4 3/4 inches. At 100 ft the grouping was 14 inches! Not including the double feeds, the rounds that did not hit the target at all, and the rounds that entered the 50ft zone. The shots were also placed 19 inches below the target! That is crazy bad! The hop-up did not make ANY sense of a change.
The body is pretty good, except for the wobble. The steel metal body is very good, and polymer(I think) hang guard, pistol grip, and stock/buffer tube. However EVERYTHING wobbles. The upper receiver/dust cover is extremely wobbly laying on the lower receiver, the stock wobbles a lot and the lower hand guard moves slightly. Plus on all the polymer parts there are very very noticeable seams going right down the middle. And the orange plastic flash hidder is awful, little pieces are coming off. The charging handle is also very wobbly and does not travel all the way back, only about 1-2 inches.
Luckily there are some positives. The iron sights are pretty good, very very slight wobble on that too, at least the rear sight. The ROF is pretty good but not too fast so that it doesn't feel like at an AK. The FPS is good for the rifle. I think around 350 with .25's. The weight is perfect for an airsoft AK. It's not too heavy that you have to lug it around like a real AK, but it is a bit more on the heavy side so it's more like a real AK. But that's about when the positives stop.
Back to one more negative. The accuracy it very poor. For as long as the barrel is it should be more accurate. But...with the other problems...
I am not very surprised that GI lowered the price of this gun to $81. I'd be happy if I could sell mine for about that. I would suggest buying an elite force AKS-74U over this rifle. Or if this price goes back to the original price of $180 I would suggest buying a G&G AK or an echo 1 AK. Or just putting in $10 more dollars and switching to an M4 to buy the KWA CQR. I would NOT suggest buying this gun
Good realistic and usable weight
ROF pretty quick but not too quick to be uncharacteristic.
Fair stock (minus the wobble)
Included foregrip is actually very very good
Great pistol grip
Unique mag release (also a con)
Hop-up delivered broken
Accuracy is not exceptional
Blowback does not go back very far
Piece of crap muzzle
Unique mag release (also a pro)
Extremely small and hard to get in battery compartment.
