G&G Combat Machine M4 (CM16 on the G&G Website)
*Combat Machine is a branch of G&G, not as good as the actual G&G's
To start off this is a good gun for beginners. Personally, my experience with this gun is great. I've managed to pick people off on semi auto with it's great accuracy. The full auto function is good enough to keep other player's heads down for fear of being hit. The plastic the gun is made of gives it smooth, glossy feel and is light (in terms of weight). However the gun is not without fault.
In my first month of having it, I've encountered several problems.
-Blown fuse (very hard to find, had to order it from Canada, suggest asking you local airsoft store for one)
-Fried motor (which in turn fried the battery)
-Battery is bad, suggest buying a better one such as intellect battery
While replacing the damaged parts I discovered they were pretty basic. If your going to put your weapon under severe pressure (such as intense firing like I did) I suggest you either replace the motor with anything better and buy extra fuses (The fuses this gun uses are F20a 250V and trust me, when you google this fuse, be sure to put the "F" because it makes all the difference).
Other than that the rest of the internals are just fine. If you were scared by my personal experiences don't be. These problems are all simple fixes. However what I would like to say is instead of buying this package, buy a seperate smart charger and battery, because the ones that come in this package are just horrible. Other than that, the gun itself is great and I'd definetly suggest this gun to anybody looking for a cheap, affordable airsoft gun.
-Plastic feels glossy and smooth (Plastic=lighter than full metal)
-Magazine is wobbly (fixable by tape)
-Stock is wobbly (also fixable with tape)
-Front sight post does not come off
-non-functioning charging handle, bolt catch/release
If you just want something to play with and aren't training to be a hardcore soldier this will suit you just fine.
This gun has its ups and its downs. As a performer, it'll get the job done but don't expect to be king of the field. On the outside, it looks great with just a few simple problems here and there. The charger and battery are crap though. Overall a great weapon I'd suggest for beginners looking to get started in airsoft.
-Plastic receiver and other parts make for a tough but light weapon
-Rate of fire is fine and will get the job done with it's 9.6 volt battery
-A few wobbly parts here and there (mentioned above in full description)
-Horrible battery and charger
-Basic internals (Unless you not going crazy with your weapon you should be fine)
-Fuse is impossible to find (If need be, order from het-electronics they actually have the dang fuse but type in the exact fuse "F20A 250V 5x20mm")
-Orange flashider glued on (Not a serious problem)
