Well to start off If you're going to buy a KJW 1911 hi-capa and plan on upgrading it. This is the best option out there as it already has a threaded barrel adapter which for me was the hardest bit to find when I was upgrading it and most models are expensive. This was my favorite sidearm I've ever had and I've used it in conditions from dry and sunny, 3ft of snow, swampy and during a hurricane and it has performed flawlessly.
Pros:
Once the hop up is tuned in, it can reach great distances (once pegged a headshot from over 150ft. using .25's)
You take care of it, it'll take care of you
grip is good with or without gloves and when wet.
when I slide a fresh mag in, the slide lock usually automatically slides forward (could be a con but for quick reloads it's awesome)
ability to affix a suppressor (if you know how to make one...) or a barrel extension right out of the box
Cons:
MIne only lasted 4 years of proper use with good maintenance practices and lubricating, but I did put it through a beating.
The front sight post has a tendency to slide to the side (lost mine in the PANTAC flat holster).
Doesn't fit into the 1911 with rail CQC SERPA holster. |

Got gun its okay.. nice weight, but the guide rod is not silver like the photo, its black.. the trigger and hammer in the photo are silver too but mine is black. said you get the green or red gas mag and a co2 mag... I only got the co2.
Pros:
nice weight.
looks nice. (wish it was silver like the photo though).
works well.
Cons:
not like the photo.(black hammer, guide rod, trigger. not silver).

Very well made gun, Full metal very good feel in hand.
Grip safty is awesome.
I'd suggest if you plan on keeping a 'silencer' on the gun to super glue to avoid having the inner thread come off.
I glued a $30 Madbull one to it, Working great so far. ;)
Only thing is I just had time getting the new barrel in, and fixated since I am new to modding my guns. Otherwise great experience with it, and I Just got it not 6 hours ago.

I got this pistol a few months ago and holy sh-t, it's awesome. Pretty much full metal minus the TanioKoba grip. Feels real nice, a bit heavy with the clip. It's really loud and the slide frame rattles a bit, other than that, it shoots pretty straight.
The rear sight and front sight are pretty neat with the white dots...I researched for some shoot-at-night sights and I found Trijicon has some for 1911s since the gun is based on the design...but I'm not sure whether Trijicon Novak Sights work on this.
This pistol feels really real and could be considered real steel with no orange tip (pro IMO, but not the real steel part) -- I recommend this product for those who want a pre-customized 1911-frame pistol that isn't single-stack. I suggest buying the KJW Tactical Full Metal Mag.

VERY nice pistol.
The sights have white-dots on them, making them very easy too see in slight darkness. I chrono'ed in at 330 fps, but it was cold out, so that was definitely the problem. The thread adapter works great, I suggest getting a smaller silencer, as my Blackside tends to bend the threads; still it looks beastly without the silencer and only the threads on.
The grip is simply amazing, and the way it leads your finger to the trigger is great
Solution to the slide problem
1. Slide locks back, and must be pushed forward manually
--Solution: Add a liberal amount of silicon oil (I suggest ICS) to the part where the slide meets the frame. This also will be broken in after no more than 150 shots.
In the proper hands, this gun can be modded to shoot MUCH better than a hi-capa for FREE!!!.

Fantastic pistol. It shoots straighter and further than some stock aegs. I bought the CA Silencer that's pictured from asgi. I don't suggest using CO2 and the silencer, the CO2 is so strong it bent the threading and the silencer became misaligned. As for the pistol, its got a great weight and when i chono'ed the gun using propane and .2g bbs it was shooting 345 fps. It comes with two mags, one for CO2 and another for green gas/propane/red gas. Even though i dropped my CO2 mag and now it has a leak it doesn't matter, because i have the green gas mag which im currently using. Gun also brings a thread adapter, it feels like weak aluminum and didnt really hold up when i put the silencer on and shot it. Thread adapter was extremely annoying because it has reversed threading so when you twisted it too much to tighten one way it loosened up on the opposite side. I removed the silencer put it on my g36 and it looks sick, and i just carry the pistol on my acu loadout as a sidearm. Overall this pistol was well worth the money and is extremely strong and reliable. If your looking for a high quality sidearm this is the one to get.
