This Thompson is great for your money. It is accurate, has good internals, and has a great feel when you pick it up. It has some heft, so you aren't carting around a toy. The motor responds great with the 8.6 volt stock battery. The iron sights are difficult to use, and its kind of awkward to shoulder the gun from hip, but its a Thompson. The mag is pretty high cap, but it holds about 350 or so rounds, and its hard to put in and pull out of the mag well. Its probably designed to be a tight fit, but thats a pro. This gun does have some negative features. The flash hider is just asking to be shot, but its not as bad as the WE m14. The fake wood is plastic, but durable. The main problem is the hop-up. it was set wrong when I got it. no matter what I did, it kept curving the BBs upward. I just silicon oiled it, and replaced the hop-up into the correct position, and it worked fine. The battery compartment is big, so the mini 8.6 battery rolls around alittle. you can probably fit a 9.6 nunchuck in there. Great gun

Fire selector and the safety are separate, but thats how it is on a Thompson.
