This is a great holster. I bought this because I'm left-handed, and it works great. When it arrived, the MOLLE straps and the main thumb latch were set up for a right-handed user, but they were relatively easy to switch around. There were no instructions detailing how to do this, but it's pretty obvious how to do so when you look at it. I purchased this holster to hold my KJW 1911 Hi-Capa Dual power, and I was surprised by how small the included magazine pouch was. It does not fit any hi-capa mags (although the gun itself fits beautifully in the holster), so I simply removed it from the holster. Thankfully, it is a MOLLE pouch, and I simply slapped it onto my chest rig to hold a speedloader. It will hold a pistol-mag sized speedloader or any normal single-stack 1911 magazines, but keep in mind that it is a tiny pouch. Otherwise, this is a great holster. Even after breaking it in, the material stays solid and holds the gun securely. The snap-secured thumb break solidly holds the gun in place in the holster, and the elastic strap works equally well to that end. Also worth mentioning is that this holster does not cause magazines to drop from the gun the same way many others do. Many models of holster will often push against the magazine release or push whatever gear it is attached to against the magazine release and cause the magazine to fall out of the gun during a match. This is less of a problem for southpaws (as the mag release faces away from my body and the rest of my kit while the gun is holstered), but the holster stays out of the way of the mag release. I even tested it mounted on my side for a right-handed draw, and I have not lost a single magazine while using this holster.

All in all, this is a great holster, and I would highly recommend it to anybody - lefty or righty - looking to hold any model of 1911.

-choice of using the elastic strap or thumb break to secure your sidearm
-works well both right- and left-handed.
-does not push on the magazine catch and cause loss of mags, as many other holsters do.

-magazine pouch is tiny, does not fit any double-stack or hi-capa mags.
-slightly difficult to swap the MOLLE straps and whatnot to the other side if you want to use this holster as a lefty, but still a pretty simple process.
