Product Information:
I got this barrel for christmas for my KJW M700. My stock barrel had stripped screws and I didn't really like it at all. It had a shiny look to it, and I'm not painting any parts of my gun any time soon. I was also planning on getting a suppressor and with that on the stock barrel my gun would have been ridiculously long. When I got this barrel I noticed that it was made out of high quality, lightweight aluminum that has a matte finish and just feels really good. There are a couple of things that set me back that I was disappointed about when I went to install it into my gun. The most noticeable thing is that it's considerably shorter than the stock KJW barrel. No real problem, I just ordered a 20 dollar lancer tactical barrel extension. (It works great!). Back to the barrel, when I went to put it into the stock something I hadn't realized and something that made me very upset about was that it was at least a centimeter too thick for the tock. I contemplated returning it, but after exploring my options I chose to keep it and modify my stock. What I ended up doing was sanding down the sides of my stock so the barrel could fit. Also, the little lug (not sure what it's called) that sticks onto the middle of the barrel that connects to the gun does not work with the KJW. It's too short. What I did was I simply took the one off of the KJW barrel and stuck it on the AAC barrel, and it ended up working fine. I also like how the barrel is fluted, and it also comes with a barrel spacer which is one of the greatest downfalls of the stock KJW, no barrel spacers= a wobbly inner barrel. In the end, the barrel fits with a lot of sanding on the stock and if you don't have that piece from your KJW barrel don't get this. My gun now looks tacticool. Thank you airsoft gi, for being one of the only places to carry this barrel. It really saved me. I'm giving this 5 stars because I'm simply rating the quality of the barrel, which is very high. I really didn't mind modifying my stock that much. And lastly, just a personal thing I though I would say-- Would I suggest this? YES. This is a high quality barrel. If you need a new one for your AAC-21 or even yur KJW m700, get this. If you have any further questions email me @ [email protected]
Pros:
Alright, there are many good things about this barrel.
-Lightweight, maybe CNC (I don't know, lol) aluminum
-Comes with -14 threads and an aluminum end cap (I like that a lot)
-Comes with one barrel spacer (You can always make more from tape. These are crucial!)
-Matte finish, little to no glare. Very good texture.
-Fluted, it's a very lightweight barrel.
-For another gun platform that it fits regularly, such as the AAC-21, this is a must-have barrel. It's amazing. For the KJW, be prepared to do some work.
Cons:
-My only personal con is that it doesn't fit the KJW stock right away. You need to do a few hours worth of sanding. My method for knowing how much to sand was a combination of tracing the barrel sides along the stock, giving me a guideline and also simply trying to put the upper receiver into the stock every now and then.
-I guess another con could be that there's only one barrel spacer. This is only a minuscule con however, due to the fact that you can easily make your own spacers.
