I bought two of these magazines when they were on Airsoftgi's wholesale list. They normally sell for $21 but I got each one for $12 each.
First impresson- the polymer was strong and sturdy, it felt like metal. the hatch was hard to open but it will get more loose after a few games, same with the spring release button on top. the steel cable was extremely hard to grab. Also, it fit well into my Kalashnikov spetsnaz.
Impression after two days of playing with them- One broke after 3 hours of game play... The steel cable snapped out of the magazine while reloading, also, I was not being rough at all, it broke mid way through the pull. $12 down the drain...
The other still works fine, but it skips ALOT of bb's. I would say about every ten shots it skips two. (note that my rof is about 20 bps). It rarely skips on semi.
Also, when changing mags, about 6 bb's fall out, which is a lot... Should be like 3 or 4.
Conclusion- I would only recommend this magazine if it is $12 or less and for a beginner who's gun has a fairly low ROF (about 12 bps).
Things I would change- I'd prefer the trap door to open away from me so I can more easily grab the cable.
-Make the plastic knob at the end of the cable larger/more easier to grab, it is very difficult.
It is a gamble to buy one of these, Buyer beware.
-Sturdy and strong feel
- Steel cable broke
- Hard to grab cable
-Will Skip rounds
- Drops a lot of bb's while reloading
