I was amazed and excited when I got this gun. The box that it came with was nearly 5 feet long or I'm just exaggerating but when you open the box, there's a bunch of cardboard paper or whatever it is to protect the gun and make sure nothing breaks while being shipped off. First thing I noticed about this gun when I opened it up was that Airsoftgi chronoed the gun and my gun shoots around 378 FPS but who cares about FPS? I love it. Even though I still have mixed feelings about it at times reading other people's experience with the gun, I hope this gun lasts me for awhile. People say to get the PTS Magpul Masada ACR but if you don't want to spend almost a grand on an airsoft gun, get this one. To me I like this gun a lot because it's like a futuristic M4 and use it in Battlefield 3 and CoD a lot. Sounds stupid to compare but this gun just looks awesome and glad I bought it off of Airsoftgi. They have the best videos and customer service. When I got the gun, it came with this small black piece that I still left inside the box and not sure what it is.
Overall, I get mixed feelings about this gun sometimes. Read my cons to why. But anyways, I'm glad I got this gun and hope that I don't encounter as many accidents with this gun such as something breaking inside the gun and messing it up. Don't change your mind about what I have to say about this gun, it's an amazing gun and if you want to stand out, get this gun if you like it.
Even though I am fairly new to owning my own airsoft gun but been following airsoft for over 2 years, I hope I can upgrade this gun soon with everything internally and fix it up and maintain it for as long as I can
Gun looks really nice when you open the box up.
FPS is pretty good, mine shoots around 378
Gun looks amazing in general
Feel to the gun is comfortable
Gun is very very accurate- When I shot this with an 8.4v since I didn't have a 9.6v nunchuck battery, it was dead on accurate.
Gun is heavy but I love it.
The stock is awesome too
Like Magpul in general as well.
People say get the PTS Magpul but this one was worth it.
A few things to list when I got the gun but also watched countless videos on youtube and reviews about this gun when I opened the box and took a look at my ACR:
-Barrel was loose (not really a con, but did look up some videos on how to tighten the barrel and got it)
-Magazine was wobbly (everyone who has this gun can say the same thing. It's true but add some electrical tape and you're fine. I haven't done that yet but I'm okay with the gun being a little bit wobbly, gonna buy either a p-mag but people have said the p-mags you buy misfeed but I'll have to wait and see myself)
-Stock: If you grab the gun by the stock and hold it downwards, it doesn't hold in place. As I also have found a video to fix this problem by taking off the weak spring in the stock, you can fix it so that it stays in place when you hold it downwards. And the bottom where a screw is held to keep the stock so it does not come off if you change what position you want the stock to be in, kind of came loose as the week progressed but you can tighten it with an allen key.
-Barrel, I don't know if it was just me but when I looked at the barrel straight on, that fake gas tube on top of the barrel didn't look straight so I had to unscrew the barrel off and adjust it so it would look straight. That's what kind of annoyed me but I fixed it.
-Rear sight: When I got this gun, the rear sight was in a plastic bag so I attached it to the rail but it was a pain in the ass to put it on with the allen key until you locked it into place with the allen key
-Limited rails: Not really a problem for me but if you purchase the RIS system for the Magpul, I heard they won't fit onto this A&K version, only the PTS but if not, get the ACR rails on EVIKE.COM for $20 and install it on the handguard. It adds limited space for what battery you can use, but if you like the AVG or the MVG on this gun, add those rails in. Screws for the ACR rails purchased on EVIKE.COM won't fit is what many have said so buy some longer screws at your local hardware store.
I'm fine with my gun like that, Just gonna buy those ACR rails on EVIKE.COM, add the AVG or just leave the bottom of the handguard and install the MVG without rails because of those holes on the bottom of the handguard and just install it on the side.
-Hop Up: Hop up is pretty good, adjusted it fairly, no problem with my gun but it's plastic and I'm worried about it. It's propitiatory hop up so it's going to be hard to put on if my plastic one breaks. So be careful about that.
-Iron sights: Front sight and rear sight. I don't really like the sights on this gun especially the rear sight that was a pain in the ass to install onto the rail of the ACR. Going to buy a red dot sight as soon as I can.
Other things that I'm afraid about this gun is that I hope the selector switch doesn't break, the mag release on the left side and other things like the gun just messing up. I've had a bad experience with my brothers JG G36C and it has nothing to do with this gun, I hope this gun doesn't jam a lot.
