Ok, this gun is absolutely AWESOME! The build quality, the heftiness, the sound, the kick, this is one sweet gun. If you're an airsoft player, or just a collector whose a Vietnam era weapons freak (like I am), looking for a tough Gas Blowback rifle, thats also a lot of fun to shoot, get the WE M14, its so worth it! When I got the gun, the first thing I noticed is the weight. It may not look like it, but this thing ain't light. Its gotta weight around 12 pounds, very very close to the real M14. But it does make your arms tired pretty quick so I would invest in a sling if you're gonna use it for skirmish. Everything that is metal on the real M14, is metal here, and its very thick, tough metal, not pot metal. This contributes to its weight. The mag is said to hold 30, but really holds only 20 but you can get up to 28-29 in there, but I bought the gun for realism so I just put 20 in it. I would also invest in another magazine or two, if you want to shoot it any. The KICK is awesome. I love shooting this thing and burned up almost all of my Green Gas can the first couple days of having it. Its LOUD, too! It makes my ears ring a bit, even when shooting it outside! But I tell ya, the kick and the sound sure bring a smile to your face. I like how the but plate slings up and rest on your shoulder like the real M14/M1A and once you lift it in there is a storage compartment with your mag loader and I'm guessing a mag spring (probably to convert it to hold 30 rounds). Theres only 2 things I have issues with. One is the PLASTIC Stock! Now don't get me wrong, its actually a very tough plastic, and its pretty thick, too. But like I said, I bought this gun for realism and for how much you pay for it, a Wood Stock would be very nice. I'll probably invest in one later on. The other is the god damn huge ass orange flash hider. This kills the look of the gun quite a bit, and its the whole damn flash hider, not just the tip. I was hoping WE would include a black flash hider for collectors like myself, as I have them do that with other guns, but to my disappointment not with the M14 I got. And other thing, the manual isn't really a manual, its more of a parts diagram and doesn't really explain how to take the gun apart, access the hop up, or anything like that, I had to figure all that out on my own, but that wasn't a huge issue. Overall, this gun is totally worth it, the best $300 I've ever spent. Highly Recommended.
Another thing, if you want to save some $$$ on Gas, use the $3 bottles of Coleman propane which can be found at any sporting goods store, or any store that sells camping gear, and a reusable propane adapter nozzle and bottle of silicon oil that you can find for $15.
Thickness of the metal parts
The Weight (I'm all about realism so I find that a plus)
Realistic mag capacity
Realistic and easy disassemble
That damn Orange Flash hider
Plastic Stock (though it feels very tough, and thick)
The hop up is hard to access
You'll be using a lot of gas because its so damn fun to shoot lol.
