Product Information:
The G4-A3 is a wonderful gun. This is just a preliminary review but nearly everything advertised about the tactical carbine(s) has been honest and accurate.

The video about the G4-A1 says that the gun is extremely light. Either the guy on the video is used to really heavy guns or what he says doesn't go for the A3. The Olympic Arms RIS (cool little gryphon logo near the back. There are little holes in the rear of this RIS, reminds me of a revolver or gatling gun) is fairly heavy but there is plenty of weight in the back. With a stick battery in the stock, the center of gravity (balance) is actually near the front end of the trigger guard! I usually like heavy guns myself but this guy feels pretty much perfect.

The iron sights are metal and very sturdy. The front sight stays down on its own (push a button to bring it up) but the rear sight needs a special pin to be held down. Careful not losing that guy. The rear sight has a very small hole. The sight adjustment is intuitive, sturdy, and fine. That being said, at this point I had to move the rear-sight very far right. In addition, I couldn't find a way to change the vertical orientation of the sight. My gun's shooting a little high at the moment.

The plastic on the receiver is NICE. Feels very good. As does the RIS: it's very jagged. The grip isn't what I would call ergonomic but it's still comfortable. As far as aesthetics, this gun has realistic color and just....looks awesome in my opinion. The RIS and iron sights don't seem out of place at all.

I haven't chrono'd this gun but just eye-balling it it seems to be around 400 fps. I have trouble tracking the BBs across the yard at times.

This is a ridiculously good buy. It's not full metal, but honestly I'd rather it wasn't. Especially if you're on a budget, you want to go with this gun. Thanks so much, GI!

Pros:
-Looks awesome
-Convertible barrel lets you replace not only the orange tip with a silencer but also the whole front 5 inches or so. If you take the whole thing off, the inner barrel protrudes by 3-4 inches. A silencer might let the inner barrel wobble too much though, and affect your accuracy.
-Hi-cap seems to be working just fine
-Blowback is cool. Pull the slide back to open the "chamber".
-Solid fire selector
-Good FPS
-Decent to good accuracy (after minimal tests)
-Cool logos
-Great weight/feel - relatively comfortable foregrip, pistol grip, and stock
-Easy disassembly
-Quick access panel on the butt plate so you don't have to unscrew anything or worry about losing the butt plate

Cons:
-Does not fit 9.6v LARGE battery no matter what you do - the long pin holding the stock into the receiver is in the way. Get a mini (or maybe a nunchuk?)
-The rear sling mount has a little square nut on the interior end. It twisted up some cheap plastic on the inside. That's a nitpick though
-JBU Vertical grip DOES NOT fit this RIS.
-Sometimes the safety engages after a single shot of semi-auto...then I would fire it in full auto, come back to semi-auto, and semi- would work again...very weird. No huge deal.
-You need high-profile ring mounts to put a scope on top of the receiver
-Doesn't come with battery or charger, but stock batteries are always junk anyway

I was planning on getting a G4 next year. I was just not into the retracting crane stock so when the Airsoft GI G4-A3 Tactical Carbine Blowback Version Airsoft Gun came out I just could not wait. I perfer the stability and simplicity of the fixed full stock. This full stock offers multiple sling attachment points. My only beef is that if you want a large battery pack you are limited to an 8.4 volt but I can still get 9.6 volt mini batteries in if I want the higher rate of fire. I was able to transfer my flashlight and foregrip straight over from my mk36 thanks to the free floating RIS. And the flip up iron sights are great for backing up my optic. The blow back is great for its realism. The receiveris plastic but that has its advantages. The plstic is acutally quite tuff but light. I whole heartedly recommend this G4.

Pros:
Reinforced Plastic Receiver
Multiple Sling Attachment Points
Free Floating RIS Handgaurd
Convertible Outer Barrel
Back Up Iron Sights
Ergo Pistol Grip

Cons:
Battery compartment limited to 8.4v large battery

After owning a JG M4, and an AGM M16, I will say this gun is the better of the three. I get the best of both worlds, the full stock for battery storage, mid length for versatility. Sure the AGM has a metal body, but that weighs you down when you have a long day on a field. This gun is light, and easy to use, the flip up sights, the pistol grip, and the easy battery access. The blowback at this price is ridiculous as well, considering you see blowback on mostly the higher end guns. I love it! All in all it might be more than those chinese clones, but it is very much worth it!

Pros:
Full stock
Flip Up Sights
Blowback
Good FPS
Light weight

Cons:
A nicer looking rail system, but I did get the cheapest G4 out there.

The full stock gets a lot of bad rap in airsoft but I prefer it. That is why when GI made a G4 with a fixed stock I could not pass it up. If I need to go CQB I just through the stock over my shoulder. Not a big deal considering that there is no recoil even with the new pneumatic blow back feature. The stock can hold a large battery pack like any other full stock. However, it also has a spacer with a loop to attach a sling with a clip and it has attachment points for QD sling swivels on both sides. The G4 A3 also has the normal yet attractive features of the G4 including a RIS hand guard, flip up back up sights, and a light but solid plastic receiver. Anyone who enjoys the advantages of a full stock like I do will love this G4.

Pros:
Back Up Front and Rear Sight
Reinforced Plastic Receiver
Free Float RIS Handguard
Full Stock w/ Battery Compartment
Single Point Sling Clip
QD Sling Swivel Attachment

Cons:
Cannot come up with anything...

SR16 here we go. I've been waiting for a style to come out like this for a while now. With it, I bought an 8.4v 4200mah battery pack. My gun runs for days, and spits out a lot of bbs per minute. I don't really need the rear sling swivel, so I would have preferred them leaving it off. I could have used a 9.6v battery if they had done that.

Back to the gun, it shoots great. It's really accurate out to the range I need it to be. The gun sounds smooth, too. The new pistol grip they designed feels really great.

Let's not forget the blow back, either. It looks and feels sick. I can actually feel the gun vibrate in my hands.

Pros:
great looking
great feeling
great accuracy
huge battery storage

Cons:
qd sling swivel mount keeps you from installing a 9.6v large battery
plastic body

Product Information:
This G4-A3 Tactical Carbine is as basic in appearance as you can get with an AR. But, it has all the features you really need. The full stock is perfect for airsoft by allowing to hold a large battery pack. However, this full stock has 3 kinds of sling attachment. The traditional loop at the bottom rear of the stock for a standard 2 point sling. A loop at the base for a mk5 type sling clip. And, a hole on each side for a QD sling swivel. The RIS has plenty of room to mount equipment and is free floating for more accuracy. The sights they totally flip up and down as back up for your scope in case it get shot out in CQB. The body is plastic but light and strong for those long games where your arms can get tired. Beast of all, the new blowback feature of the G4s adds even more realism to airsofting. This is my recommendation for high speed low drag airsoft gun.

Pros:
Reinforced Plastic Receiver
Sling Attachment Point
Ambi QD Sling Mount
Ergonomic Battle Grip
Realistic Blowback
Flip Up Sights

Cons:
Cannot think of on...come back later...

ITS A FULL STOCK G4!!!!! even though most of the g4s are wired to the rear, so you can theoretically use an external battery pouch with a regular LE stock, this one comes with a full stock so that you can hide the battery. The tech department seriously made a gun that looks very similar to my real steel DPMS AR-15. So I just couldn't resist ordering this one next day air from airsoftgi. They are great, I ordered it last thursday, and had it here last friday and played with it all weekend, and it can stand up to the abuse that I normally demand from my AR15.

Pros:
Awesome Customer service, thank you Taylor!!!!!
Rigid platform
Identical to my AR15

Cons:
My wallet is empty now, but i can't wait until next pay check then I will be buying more g4s/
