Simply amazing pistol! I've had mine for nearly 6 months now. Mine came chronoed at 330 fps, which is a great speed for a pistol (you don't want it to be too fast since you'll be using it in CQC). The gun is all metal, and simply feels great to hold. the mock suppressor makes the gun look really cool. The lanyard is very high quality and also adds to the tactical look. As far as the gold sticker on the side goes i just peeled it off. The gun works great with propane, just remember to lube both the propane adaptor (sold seperately) and the gun. The whole thing dissasembles very easily, making upgrades very quick and convenient. I only had 2 real issues with the gun. 1st is the paint. While it looks very good, it scratches off because of the action on the slide. This becomes evident on the hammer especially and on the barrel. The second is the magazine. It is very poorly designed. It is very fragile, and crucial parts that should be metal are plastic. This led to my brother breaking my mag. DO NOT DROP THIS MAG ON THE GROUND!!! IT WILL BREAK!

Pros:
good fps
fast field stripping
detachable orang e tip (screws right off-this is illegal though, so be careful )
mock suppressor and lanyard make the gun look sweet
fantastic grip
has some heft (all metal)
has "professional cal .45", and "U.S. Marine MEU SOC" engraved on the gun
comes w/ white dots on the sights for faster target aquisition

Cons:
Paint
The magazine (buy another mag, b/c its pretty likely you'll break one of them)
The gun is a tiny bit wobbly, not a big deal though.
Small mag capacity (single stack, though it is realistic)

The Verdict: GET THIS GUN!!

Product Information:
first of all, this is a great gun. the only two down sides are that the mag gas well is vary deep and it can jam often. now for the good, fires fast and smooth. hits hard and with a tight bore i can hit a dime from 30 feet (i think beacuse i was a airforce pararescue for 9 years) now for the bad, when fireing it can jam beacuse the outer slides down when you fire but can come back up to soom and get hooked on the slid. how to fix this is by slaping the front of the outer , into the gun so you cover the barrel, than it slides back. but all around great and fun to shoot.

Pros:
base gun is we so you know its all good
hard hitting
smoothe action
all around great

Cons:
slide jams (not to often)
deep well
not any more that i have seen

Very cool pistol it has authentic trademarks, a comfortable rubber grip which helps is you dont have gloves and are sweating the gun still is easy to hold, Madbull Gemtch outback suppressor which is very annoying to have in a holster and gets stuck when you need to draw your pistol so i took mine off. The HSS lanyard is a great bonus and it has saved me from losing my pistol many times. this guns interals wobble a little bit but isnt a big deal. this gun also has a very nice heft to it and is all metal except for the grip.

Pros:
Great acurracy
Trades
Weight
Working hammer
Can use anytype of gas (green, red, propane)

Cons:
15 round mag (I suggest buying more)
some holsters wont accept it

Hello, ASGI and future SOCOM Gear M1911 MEU owners!

I'm back with follow up review of this fantastic pistol. I've now had this pistol for nearly a month and nothing is going wrong... =) This is from sporadic use though and I baby my guns haha. I've put about 600 shots through this gun now:

The blowback action doesn't feel as crisp as before. The stock spring is a little weak and over time it will degrade in performance. This is no biggie. I bought a Guarder 150% Recoil spring and the blowback's nicer than before. The spring is only about 15 dollars and it comes with a new hammer spring as well. Definitely not a big setback.

Accuracy (after cleaning the pistol extensively) yielded me a very satisfying result of 9/10 head sized target hits from 50-60 feet away. The one flier was probably from my own error. Although this result is very satisfying, I've decided to remedy this by ordering a PDI 6.01mm tightbore and a nineball bucking. Hopefully, that will come in very soon. +)

The orange silencer adapter tip is removable. It is glued on clockwise so if you screw on the silencer and keep going, it WILL come off. Of course, this is illegal and I am not in any way saying you should... although it does look cooler... and you should only do it if you're at a exclusive airsoft sanctioned event... Just saying. =)

The paint on the metal comes off nicely (I like to sand down and polish parts of the gun... but that's just me... random info for those that like a custom look to their gun). But it won't come if you don't want it to haha.

The magazine that came with the gun, as well as the extra one that I ordered is still in nice working condition. I tested the magazines again, trying to see if I can make them last longer... and alas I did! If you let the magazines warm up for about... 1 or 2 minutes prior to shooting it, that will give you a much nicer result in terms of blowback and accuracy. After the magazine is emptied... you can reload the magazine... and again let the magazine sit for 1 or 2 minutes before shooting. I was able to shoot off 2 mags and spare change with this (holding the magazines with my hands and letting them sit and what not).

I am also implementing a new full length spring guide in this... the 150% Guarder spring is hard to put in with a half sized spring guide.

All in all, this is a very fine pistol, worthy of 165$ plus tax. Thanks again to ASGI, Socom Gear, and UPS for this fantastic pistol.

I'm out!

Pros:
Orange tip is removable.
Accuracy is very nice (stock).
(Rest from previous review)

Cons:
Blowback degrades after a little bit (just buy a cheap new spring).

Product Information:
I ordered this package on 3/17 and received it on 3/24 so for this order it took about a week (on free shipping). It's not bad considering you get ASGI's great customer service and reliability. I also purchased an additional magazine (something that should be seriously considered if you're buying this gun because 15 BB's a magazine goes by FAST!). I think I'm going to be buying more mags in the future.

The box is made out of nice, sturdy plastic. The inside of the box is covered with a foam in an egg shaped pattern that'll keep your gun and accessories from sliding around. Gun is full metal (obviously _._). The mags that this gun uses are specific to WE's MEU magazines. From what I've heard this gun isn't compatible with Tokyo Marui's MEU magazines. The magazines have a nice brushed metal color to them (I think it's better looking than the typical old black ones). The mock silencer that it comes with is very light so you'll barely notice the difference when it's screwed onto your gun. The lanyard is also very nice, made of good quality material (although I don't think I'll be using it too much.)

Onto the gun itself, the trademarks are great. I, for one, bought this with one of the main reasons being the trades. The sights have white dots painted onto them for quick target acquisitions. The grips on the gun feel nice on my hands and there's a cool Marine medallion on the grips. The gun is also very easy to take apart for maintenance. As stated with ASGI's review of the Socom Gear MEU, Socom Gear gave the spring guide a rubber buffer so that WE's past issues with the barrel bushing and spring plug. So far (10 clips worth, I know it's not much) those past issues have been solved.
The gun consumes a ton of gas. I can get about 20 shots off each of my magazines before it can't fire anymore. The 18th and 19th shots are like an old man trying to run the marathon. Just know, you can get a full mag off easily but if you want to reuse that mag in a skirmish you'll have to bring along a gas can with you.
Firing the gun for the first time wowed me as well. The blowback action is nice and crisp due to the nice aluminum slide sitting lightly on the gun. The reaction time is nice so far. But as the spring gets worn down, I'll expect this to grow slightly, if at all, slower. Just a tad though. =)

The only thing that irks me is probably the rattle of the slide against the frame. It's not so much that it'll compromise the effectiveness of your gun, but if you don't like rattling then this'll bother you. Another thing, the mag base plates on my magazines are a little bit rattle-y as well. This doesn't hurt anything at all but... rattle rattle rattle.... -_-

This is just a first glance kind of review. I had waited a long time, saving up to buy this gun, and I do not regret buying this at all (so far). Later on I will be doing a range and accuracy review after breaking this gun in.

Thanks to ASGI, Socom Gear, and UPS for bringing in a great gun,
from another satisfied ASGI customer.

Pros:
Full metal, light slide.
Nice accessories.
Trademarks are pleasing to the eye. Well, just trademarks period.
Grips feel nice.
The blowback action feels like a dream.
Lean, mean, green gas eating machine. RAWR!

Cons:
Price, but not so much. Thanks to some of the price saving coupons and free shipping, I got this for about 2 dollars cheaper. 158*. But to me, it still hurt my wallet. Definitely worth it though.
Lean, mean, rattling machine. RAWR!
