Nice shell replacement. My stock JG M4's gearbox shell cracked from dry firing it too much. Happy to have found this. Great product.

Product Information:
This is a solid shell, especially for the price. It comes in a nice Guarder box and as son as you take it out of the package, you notice the weight. This shell is heavy, and you can see it is very well reinforced. I put this in a DMR running an m130 spring and it has yet to show any signs of stress though. When you first break in this gearbox though, it puts a lot of stress on you. I had the same problem as the two guys below me with the screws, and also with the bushings. When you first put the 6mm bushings in the holes, they are a very tight fit and don't sit all the way flush like they should. They stick up. The reason it is so hard to screw the screws in and why the bushings don't fit is that this shell comes coated in a layer of black paint. All around. If you look in the holes for the screws when you first get it, you will notice that there are no threads inside. They are painted over. And the bushings do not fit because there is a layer of paint taking up space. The screws are so hard to screw in because you're actually carving threads out of the paint as you screw. Once you screw them in all the way, they will get easier because the paint will be scraped out. As for the bushings, what I did is put them in the holes, then take a hammer and smash them until they're all the way in. Then pop them out and do it again until they just drop right in. As you do this to the screws and bushings, you'll notice shavings of paint being spilled everywhere. make sure you clean the surface of the shell off before you reinstall parts. Once you get over that first hump though, this shell is great. It's a solid shell for a great price.

Solid, takes an m130 spring with ease.
Affordable, only $40!
Comes with phillips head screws instead of those stupid allen key screws.
Looks nice.

Coat of paint that makes screwing in the screws extremely hard, and makes the bushings not fit right.

Decent. It's cheap and strong, stronger than a stock CA gearbox for reference.

However, because it is cheap, one could assume that some defects would be present. On mine, the selector rails curved inwards and needed to be plied out with plyers and sanded. Also, the piston guide rail on the part of the gearbox towards the spring guide (rearward of the little slot) was a little big and would not allow the piston to travel all the way back, so I dremmeled that and sanded the rails to ensure the piston would work perfectly.

Additionally, the problem with the screws experienced by the reviewer before me was also experienced by me, however this was only present the first four times I put the box together. Eventually, the screws get "broken in" so to speak and the problem disappeared.

One all is said and done, this box is quite decent, especially considering the price. I feel this box could definitely handle a beefy spring once you get all the kinks worked out.

This Gearbox does Everything anyone could want from a gearbox.

When you hold it in your hands it feels strong. I have no doubt this can take what the manufactuer says it can take.

however, my only complaint was that the screws that come with the gearbox are Phillips-head and very hard to screw in. I had alot of annoyances dealing with Stripped screwheads because even when i had the right sized screwdriver it was hard to get enough tourque. I eventually switched to the Screws that came off of my JG gearbox and i could then screw it in perfectly, without a problem.

Overall, Great gearbox, just Make sure you are ready to Muscle with annoying Screws
