After getting a MadBull 6.03mm tightbore for my AEG, I decided to get the MadBull 6.03mm tightbore for my KWA G19. There are no instructions anywhere to be found on how to install this. So, I had to go to the gun diagram that came with the gun. To remove the inner barrel from the hopup, you will need to remove the base pin that attaches the inner barrel base to the inner barrel sleeve. The pin can go in only one direction as it is scored to be larger on one side. After tapping the pin out, the rest comes apart easily. Just be careful of the inner barrel spring that pushes the inner barrel back into the hopup. This was tricky to reinstall and had to try a few times. I applied some silicone lube to the new barrel and it went into the hopup pretty easily. I used a channel lock plier to press the base pin back into the inner barrel base. Done.
Testing the new barrel out on the poor man's chrono, I noticed a slight FPS gain. Before the TBB, I could only penetrate one side of an Al can. After the TBB, I could sometimes penetrate both sides. My guess would be about 340 FPS.
Accuracy was not tested at distance, but with the TBB I can keyhole three in a row at 10 feet. That is great consistency in my book.
Overall, I would recommend this upgrade to those who are looking to make their KWA G19 perform better than what it did great already.
This is the Black Python 6.03mm Tightbore Barrel made by MadBull Airsoft.
Well made and has a nice finish, much like the Black Python TightBore for AEGs.
Slight FPS gain.
Amusing upgrade if you like working on your airsoft guns.
No instructions to be found anywhere.
You'll need to rely on the gun diagram that came with your G19.
