Just got this gun today and tested it out.

When i got the order i was very surprised by its weight. This guns weighs only about 100 grams less than the real thing! My second surprise was the thumb safety. It is one of the best i have seen and has a slight curve to it and fits your palm/thumb perfectly. The finish is great and the letters .45 ACP is printed on the brass ejection.

Next for the testing. I performed the coke can test at 25 feet and 45 feet away and used .2 gram Matrix BBs. The gun had a very nice blowback and the slide worked perfectly. The sights are a little annoying to look down on because the front sight is dove shaped but otherwise there were no problems. Here are my results:
- At 25 feet, i tore the poor little coke can apart. Most of the BBs penetrated one side and either heavily dented the other side or penetrated. One managed to get stuck on the other side.
-At 45 feet, another coke can was bashed in and some managed to penetrate (because i hit the same spot again and again)

Quality
This gun is a real value for a $100 gun and i recommend it for intermediate players and advanced players. It is cheap, extremely durable (full metal construction duh), and powerful. I especially liked the paint job on the gun. The grip is checkered plastic but that matters not (you can replace it with a carbon grip if you're rich lol).

The gun comes with 2 magazines and they are single stack magazines. This makes it easier to reload if you need to and makes the gun more powerful. The spring's strength (for the mags) were also good.

Overall
This gun is great and i believe that it is another masterpiece by WE 10.2/10 xD

Well, first off, Airsoft GI has excellent service.

Now, about the gun.

When I got this gun, I was very surprised by the quality. It is parkerized, just like the original 1911 A1s. The feel was great, and the gun is very nicly balenced in your hand. I loaded er' up, and squeezed the trigger. *BANG* The slide rocked back, sending a rather noticable jolt down my arm. I would say that the kick is like a .22 caliber pistol. It is a very accurate gun. From 7 yrds, I printed a nice little 5 shot group that was covered by a quarter! The fit is excellent (no rattley slides on this one), and the barrel is stamped with .45 ACP. I just got it today, so I haven't tested it in battle, but I'm sure it won't let me down. This gun is a buyer! I would HIGHLY reccomend it.

Pros:
Metal construction
Very accurate
Nice quality fit/finish
Two mags
Disassembles just like a real 1911 A1
Nice balence
Powerful
Reliable
Very nice kick
Excellent trigger pull.

Cons:
Uses a little more gas than many would like, but it doesn't bug me.

Great gun with good power. the cooldown is a problem however. if the temp is low it gets pretty bad but otherwise i am very happy with this gun.

I got the chance to use this in both outdoor and in cqb enviornments.
It shot farther, straighter and was more accurate, and less succeptable to the wind, then my friends Glock.

It is as advertised when it comes to weight and action, being both heavy and realistic. The only issues I have had, are the slide not always locking back when the mag is empty, and the hammer getting stuck halfway (just cock it back with your thumb) when it is running low on gas or if it gets too cold.

The sights are tiny, and I recomend either getting a do-it yourself nightsight kit or having a gunsmith install new sights (higher profile ones) assuming you have the $. The stock sights require too much concentration and effort.

One final issue is that the mag release gets stuck on one of the mags, but a tug on the floorplate desingages it so its not really a big deal.

Overall I say its is a beautifull replica, worthy of the 1911 heritage, and it performs as well as it looks.
