For: Lancer Tactical Flip Up Front Iron Sight for M4/M16Product Information:
This sight is a great replacement for those who need a front sight assembly on the M4/16 platform because they have quad rails as opposed to free-floating rails, but want a flush frontal assembly that will not interfere with scopes or other optics. This sight is a budget, easy-to-install, and adaptable piece that'll do exactly that. I've slowly built a Classic Army M15A4 into a DMR setup with a long barrel, and this has been a great replacement for the triangle sight, because it does not affect my clean top rail profile but also sits a perfect height for both flip-up and carry-handle iron sights.
The durability of the sight itself is decent and it's solid metal with a decent finish. The sight post on the version I received can be screwed up or down to raise or lower it. As opposed to being secured with two pins and an allen screw as on most triangle sight fixtures, this sight needs you to eyeball it to being even with the top RIS on your AEG and simply slide it over your outer barrel and screw in the two allen screws (provided). After minimal tightening (no stripping), the sight is rock solid and can support more than the gun's weight, and looks very cool and clean.
Overall this sight is a great buy and I would recommend it to anyone. I bought mine at Evike however as they look and function they seem to be almost identical (save for a hollow QD mount on the element/King Arms version sold @ evike)
Easy to Install
Flip-to-Rail functionality makes this a multi-use platform.
Cheap screws look like they may strip if discretion with tightening/loosening force is not used.
Screws are NOT metric.
