I own this gun and i must say it has never let me down. i have a cheapo battery in it and i still own all my friends. i can consistently take out the entire enemy team with no problems.
Pros:
Metal
Fps
Rof
Adjustable stock
Comfort to use in battle
Easy to get used to

Cons:
Battery is REALLY HARD to get in
not the best for long range (but can you expect from a sub machine gun?)
hop up sends .2s to the heavens above

Id recommend some .23s or even .25s seeing as this gun has a insane hopup. This is totally sweet if you get caught off guard because you can just whip it up into position and light up the sorry fellow who decided to try to kill you. Definitely a must buy for CQC or woodlands.

this is just an add on to my previous review. Whatever you do, DO NOT lube the bearing on the bottom of the motor using silicone lubricant. I made this stupid mistake as the result of misremembering my teamate's advice, and i fried the motor as a result. Using Marvin's Mystery Grease (availible at most hobby shops) deposit just ONE DROP of lube into the little slots on the bearing about every month and a half, and your motor should last a lot longer than mine did. (dang i am such an idiot).

I just traded my beat-up SRC M4A1 in for a barley used example of this weapon with my teammate, and it is one of the best weapons that i personally have used so far. Mine is stock, the only addition being a scope mount that tends to rattle around a little on it. This weapon, stock, outranges and outshoots many of my teammates' stock Classic Army M15A4's by a good 5-10 yards (not to mention almost matching the range and rate of fire of our SAW gunner's CA M249 MKII), and this is with it's shorter barrel. The magazines leave a little to be desired as they require a fair amount of winding to keep them feeding properly ( this can be helped by not fully loading the magazines by about 20 rounds), but they fasten fairly securley into the gun, albieit with a little side to side rattling. The cocking handle sounds real, and the finish and engravings, combined with the weight and extremley sturdy design, make it a very convincing replica of it's real steel counterpart. Other than the hicap magazines the gun functions extremley reliably, with a very sturdy gearbox and high quality gears. It has yet to jam through the approximatly 3000 rounds put through it. Overall if you need a CQB weapon with the ability to go woodland without worrying about range, accuracy or durability (or are just a big fan of the MP5 platform in real life), the ICS MP5 might just be your weapon.
