For: JG M4A1 Basic AEG Airsoft Gun w/ D Boy 300rd M4 High Capacity Magazine PackageProduct Information:
This was my first airsoft gun. For 146 its amazing. Ive been using it for 2 years and am now in the training process for a competitive team, I still use the gun when I dont feel like using my bigger guns. It is a great starter gun that is a great way to ease yourself into airsoft.
-Great for starts
-Feels solid, I've shot AR-15's before and it feels exactly the same, minus the recoil.
-It is perfect for outdoor play, I go to an outdoor field by my house almost weekly and it was always accurate and ready to go. The downside of that is that when I went to an indoor arena and tried to use it, it had too much FPS to let me in so I had to rent. This can be easily remedied by getting a CQB spring for like 20$ and learning to change it yourself.
-Hopup is good.
Great for modding internals with.
OVERALL: Great gun for starters, harder to mod externally than most starter guns. Great for people who dont want to mess with settings.
-no RIS. The battery is in the barrel area, if you put a RIS on it (Its hard to find RIS for JG's that are M4) you would have to get a PEQ Box for roughly 20-30$. If you do want a forward grip get rail attachment pieces for the top and bottom, they come for like 10$, just make sure your getting ones that work with JG.
-Forward sight cant be moved, this is more of a ME problem but whenever I put my sight on my gun it annoys me when my red dot is exactly aligned with that forward sight.
-Mask doesnt fit stock, I have a mesh mask and whenever I try to use my sight without risers on the gun it isnt at the correct height for me.
-The first time I used the gun the mag didnt fit into the gun well so, I was running and all of the sudden my mag is on the ground half empty. Luckily I survived but in alot of games you might not hear that or get shot attempting to recover your mag, after a while I learned to just hold in the mag for a second or two and push it in hard, it now fits fine but originally did not.
-When I first started airsoft, I realized that High caps held more BB's so I said why wouldnt you get high caps. This is why, Yes they hold more BB's but you have to wind them everytime you want to shoot which SUCKS, also most intense milsim operations dont allow high caps. High caps are about 15-20 for a single mag, get Elite Force medium caps for like 9$ each and youl be fine. It also makes for a more REALISTIC game when your not winding the mag.
