For: Siegetek Ver.2&3 Balanced Gear Set (20.8 Ratio) (Professional Installation Required)Product Information:
This gear set is the best I've laid hands on, from the specs matching to within .01mm of each piece to the the material used. Properly installed, these should be the last set of gears you ever need. If you do get Siegetek stuff and plan to install it yourself, I'd highly recommend using micron feeler gauges to set the shimming. With the level of machining perfection on these I was able to shim to 50-65 microns (half a 0.1mm shim). With clearances this close, I recommend using a full PTFE dry lube to maximize performance and long-term lubrication. Between good shimming, good bearings and good lube, I can flick the sector gear and get 7-8 rotations out of it pretty easily.
The gears are pretty quiet, even behind a Tienly 45000. The only noise mine made was when I parted the piston gear from the piston, splitting the piston in half in the process. Even then the gears didn't take any damage at all, although the steel piston gear was chewed up somewhat.
Machined to exacting specifications
Did I mention expensive?
Not cheap enough to not know what you're doing when installing.
