I just got this today and it works well for what it is when you use the visible green settings. It has four settings which are activated by turning the dial around the dome for the LED's. The dial has arrows which correspond to which setting it is currently on. When the arrows are pointing to the battery box it is in the off position, turn the dial clockwise and the next position is IR Strobe, the next position is visible green strobe and the third position is visible green constant on, with the final turn back to the off position. You have to go through all settings to get back to off. The dial can be hard to turn on some of the positions. As for the lights brightness the visible green settings (both strobe and constant on) are fairly bright in the dark, that is to say bright enough to be seen but not so bright to light up the whole area. A side note is at least for me the constant on visible green setting sometimes goes on and off when bumped which means it is not shock proof. As for the IR strobe setting it does what it is supposed to do but is faint. I use a Gen 1 night vision device and could barely see it unless I was looking strait at the top of dome. If viewed at an angle it was harder to see. But besides that it works and is a lot cheaper than the Adventure Lights VIP strobe light. While the packaging states it is from BRAVO the backing of the device states it is made by ELEMENT and is made in HK. If the IR Strobe setting was brighter and it was a bit more shock resistant then I would give it a full 5 out of 5.
-Hard plastic casing
-Bright on the visible green settings
-Both IR and visible Green modes
-IR strobe setting is very faint in night vision goggles (NVG).
-Turn switch to activate settings is a little tough to turn.
-Visible green constant on will go on and off randomly.
-Not shock proof.
