This product is very beautifully made, with realistic but nonfunctional buttons and screen. Basically, this is only an empty plastic shell which allows you to put a smaller radio inside of it. Unfortunately, my Motorola Talkabout does not fit inside the shell, but I am able to store my Talkabout in another pouch on my rig without any issues. It is a great piece to add a touch of realism to ones kit without going bankrupt. For the price of this item, the deal is absolutely amazing!
The plastic shell is very thick and very robust, which surprised me greatly. Compared to my friends PRC-148 replica, which broke within minutes of him taking it out of the package, this dummy radio should be nearly indestructible as long as one does not abuse it too much. The antenna included is a thick and stable rubber construction, though the threading on the antenna is made of the same material as the rest of the antenna, and the threading on the radio is metal, the threading on the antenna did strip when a friend screwed it on too tight.
-Strong and beautiful build quality through and through.
-Good addition for those seeking realistic looks.
-Fantastic price for what you get.
-The threading in the antenna can fairly easily be stripped.
-The radio shell was quite a bit larger than I expected, but I did not look up the dimensions before purchasing so that is mostly my fault.
-Will not fit most MBITR pouches on the market, as it is a little too large for most MBITR pouches.
