This PEQ-15 arrived at my doorstep roughly fifteen minutes before I went on vacation with my girlfriend. I tore the box open with glee and noticed that the lights/lasers were housed in a surprisingly high-quality mold that very closely matched the real PEQ-15. Honestly, I was shocked, considering the price. As I thumbed through the broken English of the instruction manual, I realized that this PEQ-15 was actually a PRO&T replica - one that I'd heard high praises of on the various forums that I frequent.
The parts on this device are well put together, comprised of seemingly durable thick plastic and the dimensions match the real PEQ-15 almost exactly. I mounted it on one of my rifles, taped up the pressure switch (which is suprisingly responsive), and tried it out.
This replica PEQ-15 requires CR123A batteries, which I probably should have surmised from the summary. I didn't. Dejected, I went on vacation.
A week later. I found the batteries required and put them into my PEQ replica. I can honestly say three things (at this point):
-My cat absolutely loves the laser. It is easily adjusted to the zero on my rifle, and, depending on range, accurately illuminates targets in the CQB environments that I play in during the winter
-The flashlight function is nice, but I'm holding out until I see what it can do on the field. It illuminates my apartment well, however I'm not sure that it delivers the blinding flash required in the environments that I'm used to.
-Looks nice, matches the real PEQ-15. Good looking decals, correct color.
-Laser entertains felines; makes humans a bit antsy
-No mention of battery requirements. Batteries quite expensive.
